HI! I am launching a revolutionary fitness program and NEED 25 males, yes I said MALES, to participate in a 6 week FREE online personal training group.

Make November Thank YOU month in your life!!

HEY THERE~~
I challenge YOU to make the most of the Thanksgiving season and make November “Thank You!!” Month~
Here’s some tips and ideas on how to do it:
1– take 10 minutes today and make a list of all the people in your life that you could say “thank you” to …aim for a list of 30- one for each day of November
2– take a couple minutes each day to say “Thank You” to that person at the beginning of your daily journal status or  blog  post
3– make sure to follow through by thanking them personally too!

I picked Gunner to thank today because he had his last 7th grade Football game tonight…It’s been a tough season for them. Lots of losses and getting used to their growing bodies, lol!

NOV 2- Thank you my Family!!
So for this second day of the month, I’d like to say “Thank YOU” to my Family…Meaning my extended family…My parents, siblings, the in laws, etc…I want to thank them for all the love and support they given me through the years. Family is important because at the end of the day, no one will ever care for you as much as your family.
I picked today to thank them because it is my youngest brothers birthday today, Matthew is  24 now married and on his honeymoon!!  Happy Birthday! I think God was preparing me a bit for motherhood by giving me a brother that was 14 years younger than me. I babysat him a ton the first 2 years of his life! And then I got a car, so I managed to do it less as I grew older, lol!
Thank YOU my family!! I love you!
Nov 3- Thank YOU TEAM BUFFMOHTER “ORIGINALS”!!
I want to thank the Originals!!! The original founding leaders of TEAM BUFFMOTHER and our Private Women’s only area www.TheRallyRoom.com. Did you know that at that we started way back when as a Yahoo! group??  I don’t believe yahoo groups even exist anymore, lol!!  We quickly out grew that format and as members wanted more security, leaders began to emerged there….The “originals”  were invited in in Jan of 2006 prior to us even opening the our membership area to the world on March 1, 2006. They tested it and were instrumental in welcoming all the newcomers when we did open up.
Since then they have all made an enormous impact on countless members of  TEAM BUFFMOTHER and the Rally Room, including ME!!
Thank YOU so much for your devotion, positive energy and leadership in making TEAM BUFFMOTHER and the Rally Room  the BEST support group for women in the WORLD!!!
I LOVE You!!

And TODAY!! November 5th– Thank you HUBBY!
Today, I want to thank my DH Travis! He is my best friend EVER and is the reason I am BuffMother!! Travis, I can’t begin to describe all the reasons why I love you so much and all the value you’ve added to my life, but I an so thankful to God that you are in my life!

Actually REALLY trying…

I am actually REALLY trying to eat better again for the first time since Thanksgiving~ the holidays are Wacky!!  The good news is that I did keep my workouts and food intake in check enough over that time to maintain my weight right at the 129’ish mark cheerleaders  I am not unhappy with that weight, but I am much more content at a 5 pound lighter weight.

Which leads me to my goal….

My goal is to weigh 125 by March 1st.

Actions needed to obtain:

  • keep workouts consistent 5+ per week
  • keep focused in increasing my cardiovascular fitness lever with more running/cardio
  • keep counting my portions- key elements are to INCREASE my protein and green intake and DECREASE my carb intake!

Losing weight is difficult for me (probably because I don’t “have to” lose it)…that’s why I typically need another goal to focus on instead of just dieting.  I was hoping to go on a trip to the beach with my hubby this winter, but the timing doesn’t look good for that.  Instead I MUST get a photoshoot booked ASAP.  I should actually do 2 or 3??  I need some new fun photos and doing more than 1 shoot helps me get in the “groove”.

I have some other goals for the year, but they need a bit more time to “hash out”…I’ll spare you the ramblings!

Let’s attack our goals!! It’s go time!!

This is to be filled out and submitted to me via e-mail when you have completed your 10 weeks of the SSS contest.  We have a new “official” contest starting 1/24/11~ the end date will be the SUNDAY April 3rd and all entries are DUE the following Monday, April 11th.  Winners will then be announced the next week on April 18th.

A panel of 5 judges (leaders in Team BuffMother) will pick their top 3 picks for the WINNER based on participation, results, attitude, their Super STAR quality and consistency. Each judges picks will be put on a piece of paper (15 little pieces of paper) will be placed in a hat and the winner drawn from there.

Suggested Optional Participation:

  • Be an active member of the Rally Room (the judges of the contest are Rally Room leaders, so the more “visible” to them you are the better chance you have at winning)
  • Consider joining the Video Coaching By BuffMother! SSS program

Happy Thanksgiving

Hi all!!
I am very thankful today for all the work I have put into my body over the past 3 plus years- 3 years ago was when I really was first starting to shoot to BUILD Muscle mass–and it has forever changed my body. Now I can have a free day, or even a free week and not hardly even notice. My muscle mass is so good at burning calories that when I eat a lot extra or lay off on my workouts, nothing much changes. Of course it would if I took a MONTH off, lol. I am thankful for MUSCLE!!

So, that said, I have had a few days off. After being sick at the end of last week, I decided that workouts would be optional this week. My body was due for a rest, plus with everything else going on this week–it was perfect timing for a slight break.

I think we will hit the gym this morning though–but, that’s still not 100%, lol! It is actually nice to have that freedom–

I do plan on hitting it hard starting next week. I plan to take pics, measurements and my bodyfat, then test again in 4 weeks. That should be right in time for Christmas!! I am excited for that!

Well if I workout today, I’ll check back in!

I DECLARE- November “I am Thankful” month!! Entry for November 2, 2006

As the highly successful October–“I am proud Month” is now OVER–I think it would be fun to continue on with the tradition into November.

With Thanksgiving just around the corner I am declaring that NOVEMBER is “I am Thankful month” –So be sure to start off your daily posts with a reason you are thankful!!

I am thankful for my brothers and my sissy

Here is a pic of us all together about 2 years ago-

in the back row you see my brothers Matthew (today he is 17!!), James (he’s about 22 now) and David (2 years older than me so 33 now)–he is holding his little girl…then next to me is my sissy Jeanette(she is now 24)

On tap for me today is the TRACK again…today it is much nicer weather here, so I will take my 3 little girlies with me. I am sure that will be an adventure!

Here is my Track Report:
It was a crazy time at the track, but MAN what a perfect day for it–sunny 60 degrees–perfect!
here is the low down on how it went
Warm up 800m
First 3 400m- 69 seconds with 4 min recovery
4th- 71 seconds–this one almost killed me! so I had a longer recovery of 8 mins then did
5th- 70 secs…would have been 69 but Tia was in the way so I had to yell at her TWICE to move–poor thing!

We went to the park afterwards and I am still dying an hour afterwards…so time to rest, and refuel and think about what I am gonna do in the gym tomorrow and Saturday!

It was a GREAT experience to be running 400 repeats again…I have a huge love hate relationship with them…they are killers, but UBER EFFECTIVE!!
