This week’s mini challenge…

SSS contest~~ WEEK #6 Mini-Challenge “try on your bikini DAILY”~

The reasoning behind this challenge is to get you looking at yourself and motivated to take action towards making your bikini look even better on you!!

I know for me trying on bikinis can be fun or painful! Know that you can create a better body…taking action daily and doing the little things will add up!!! BELIEVE you can wear your bikini with confidence and you will soon be strut your stuff on the beach !!!! Know that you can create a better body…taking action daily and doing the little things will add up!!!

BELIEVE you can be confident in your bikini by next summer!!!!

A fun option on this challenge is to take a daily picture of you in your bikini…I’ve done this before and it was very fun!

Get after it and be relentless, we are closing in on the finishing weeks of the SSS contest and I plan on kicking it in!!

Up your veggie intake- especially GREEN VEGGIES

Ideas:

The way I get 3 in a day is to start my day with a GREEN, focus on eating greens for my “snacks” and having greens with dinner.

Greens are so good for your digestion, your body’s acidic balance, for nutrition, for energy, etc…. My favorite Greens lately are: Cucumbers, Peppers, Green Beans, Radishes, Asparagus, Brussels Sprouts

Others I eat quite often include: Stir fry veggies, Spinach, Romaine Lettuce, Green and Red Cabbage and Spaghetti Squash

Get after those greens~

They are SO good for you and REALLY help lean you up!!! YUMMY!!!

28 days of Christmas: Day 14

XMAS Day 14:  “off day”–halfway point~ Congrats!! You made it to the halfway point!!! Now it’s time to refocus- dig deep and continue on towards the finish!!! BE RELENTLESS!!!

I’ve said it in the past and I’ll say it again~ I love the thoughts feelings and attitude that the word RELENTLESS brings to my soul!!!  It’s the halfway point of our 4 week contest~ time to get relentless!!!

Let’s all chant “relentless”, “Relentless”, “RELENTLESS!!!!!” to ourselves as we “kickit-in” towards our goals cheerleaders

Congrats!! You made it to the halfway point!!! Now it’s time to refocus- dig deep and continue on towards the finish!!!

REFOCUS~ set some new goals, adjust you plan if needed, etc. You can do this!!! Just keep believing!These next few weeks you need to be RELENTLESS!

RELENTLESS is an awesome word!!!
I love the energy it brings, the determination, the fire, the enthusiasm!!!

Halfway Point!

HEY ladies~ it’s Week #6! and we are now at the “half way” point in the contest!! Can you believe it…it’s time to KICK IT IN!!! My plan is to take halfway stats and pictures on Wed and do some goal setting from there. I am so happy that I am healthy this week and am starting my buffing phase. The world is a BED OF ROSES for me right now!! I love it when hormones are being nice, lol! I had a good weekend of workouts~
Saturday I did a good BACK, Sh, Biceps workout and yesterday a long cardio day: 15 mins u-bike; 15mins run intervals outside; 15 mins more on the bike The bad thing though is I irritated my knee afterwards when I was stretching my quads…It was so bad I actually iced it…and it was really sore last night! It feels decent today, but I’m going to hold off on running again until Wednesday just to be safe. Here’s my POA:

Huge to do list~

I have been working on my HUGE to do list today…and I tell you what it is slow going.  Taxes and Bills  are a couple of the dreadful items on my list along with laundry and dishes.  I really don’t think God made me to do those things– I really don’t enjoy them much~ but a gal’s gotta do what a gal’s gotta do.  Through it all my DH has been such a sweet heart today!  He brought me lunch and told me I was the love of his life!! I love him so much too!!!

Speaking of love I watched “P.S. I love you” last night– holy bawling batman!   
I was crying crocodile tears and made me think how sad I’d be if I lost my love~ WHAAAAAA!!!

My plan for a workout today is to do a HOME upper body workout~ I’ll work it in during my housework.

sit ups

Lateral raises

I’ll also try to get some u-biking done~ I really need to get in some cardio…I wanted to run outside today but its been raining all day~

BTW-  It’s been 3 months since I started taking my HT pills and I really LOVE Them!!!  I love how my skin has been clear!!  ANYHOW~ I am SOLD!

Thank YOU JESUS that it’s FRIDAY!!!

What a beautiful day here after a crazy stormy night…we had some STRONG winds and lots of rain.  Trampolines were blown all over the neighborhood!  Once I got the kids to school this morning I headed for a massage and a chiro adjustment, my back is getting BETTER!!! 

 Yesterday I did a good workout I rode the r-bike for 20 mins, did legs, then rode for another 20 mins on the r-bike…the rest of the day yesterday I was EXHAUSTED.  So today, I came to the re-realization today that doing cardio makes me very sleepy, lol!   So I am going go back to limiting my cardio to just intense intervals 🙂 

I just got home from the gym and it was good~
Focused on LIFTING rather heavy and on my big muscles!!!

Lower back extensions no weight 3 sets– focused a bit on my booty by bending legs slightly

I am excited to finish out this RELENTLESS Challenge~ just 2 more days-  One of which I’ll run intervals and one of which I’ll lift chest/tris

I plan to take pictures on Sunday or Monday~ we’ll see how it shakes out!

I love the Month of MAY~ it means Summer is on its way and that Spring is ON!
Have any of you ever really celebrated May day? Giving MAY DAY baskets to your neighbors sounds like a great tradition that I’ve never participated in, lol! Maybe next year I’ll try it?

Be sure to have a HAPPY MAY day and take some time today to make some GOALS for MAY…kinda like new years resolutions, but just for the month of MAY….here are some of mine:

*Read my Bible and out of my Joel Osteen devotional daily- good stuff!
*Get taxes done (extensions are great, but you still have to do them eventually)
*Get Helping Hands stuff out of my Garage
*Get my carpets cleaned
*Get my Van a tune up

Sorry I didn’t blog yesterday… I had a case of HIF (Hormone Induced Failure) combined with Allergy issues. I feel so much better today! :woohoo: Speaking of HIF~ I have a new article up on BB.com– check it out “Hormonal Timing”
Yesterday turned into a day of rest from workouts, but far from restful…I had a bunch of errands to run, GG had a soccer game, and GUNZ had a BB game. So it was GO-GO-GO until about 11pm last night.

My plan for today is to attack!!! I am going to go to the gym in just about an hour and HIT IT hard!!! I love the feeling of being excited to workout!!! I plan to be relentless and get in a good leg workout combined with some good ABS and cardio….it should ROCK!!!

Playing is FUN!

I like playing sports… but some how as a MOM it is not the norm.  Today at my DD soccer game I played catch with my son.  It was fun!!!  Have you ever wondered,  where on earth have all the female athletes gone?  I sure have!  Anyhow…
I plan to PLAY more now that my kids are 5+ years old; It is high TIME to enjoy some fun and games with them.

I’ve had a couple of good days of workouts:
Yesterday I ran little over 2 miles of intervals, then later that afternoon I did a leg workout.

Today, I did 20 mins on the r-bike, lifted upper body–
Bench
Tricep bench dips
Cybex lat pull downs
Bicep curls
Roman chair abs
then 20 more mins on the r-bike.
It was a good one!!

I am LOVING all the Relentless attitudes~ KEEP IT UP!!!!
And don’t forget to PLAY!!!

Well girls…we are now entering our 8th week of the BBB contest and the LAST week of the 4 weeks of RELENTLESSNESS!!!

I am determined to have MANY relentless workouts this upcoming week…IT is GO time!!
Last week was a good one again, but not as good as the previous one.
M-back, shoulders, biceps, intervals
T-legs
W-off day
Th-ran outside and some sprints…chiro appt
F-chest tri workout at gym (30 min quick one)
Sa- off–drove kids around all day running errands, to games and b-day party
Su- upright bike intervals back, shoulders and abs
So in total I lifted 4 days and did 3 cardio sessions.  As you can see, I started strong…but kinda fizzled out~~ that’s not going to happen this week.
I started boosting on Friday~

My POA
M-lower body and steady run
T- upper body and cardio intervals on stair mill
W- sprints outside…abs hard
Th-Lower body
F-Upper body and run intervals
S-off
Su- run outside

My lifting will be focused on building muscle and keeping up with my running.  I plan to add some CEE (creatine ethyl ester) pills this week to help my energy levels.
WE need to rock this next week…I AM GOING TO BE RELENTLESS–MIND over BODY!!! I will be mentally tough!
