No Driving Day?

Today is a much needed NO DRIVING day, sorta…

  1. I may drive to the gym as I’ve realized 3 weeks into it that working out at home isn’t going well with the kids are home for the summer! Too many distractions= no so much the kids themselves as the MESS the kids leave behind!
  2. We may also drive to go pick up my CHICKEN COOP!! I had a friend of mine score me one for FREE!! It’ll hold 8 chickens~ I can’t wait to eat my own eggs!!
  3. AND I may drive my tractor– that though is FUN, It’s like therapy!

 

Yesterday was a nice day– I took the day off and drove to town for lunch with my SIL. She treated me to a late BIRTHDAY meal and My son came with to hang with his cousins at the pool

 

I did manage to get in a short leg workout– my sciatic has been flaring up a bit the past couple days (too much sitting/driving, ovulation and inconsistent workouts).  SQUATS seem to really help it, but yesterday it got irritated a bit from them– so I tried to be nice to it.

Warmed up on bike for 10 mins, squatted: 45×20, 95×10, 135x10x3 deadlifts: 135x10x3 plus some abs and booty stuff between sets. It was a shorter workout than I wanted but it was also close to 7pm when I was done.  TOO LATE in the day for this CHEF…I had a 5 hungry mouths to feed.

Am I a hermit?

I seriously am worried I’m turning into a HERMIT.  I don’t want to leave my house!  I know my hormones tend to make me feel this way monthly, but I am seriously feeling more and more like I don’t want to venture away from my “Sanctuary” of a ranch.  We moved out to the country about a year ago and I’m totally diggin it!  I’ve learned so much about myself this past year…I love doing so many things that I never knew existed prior to this past year.

I love driving a tractor I love planting fields I love brush hogging I love building big fires I love running hills on a dirt trail I love hunting varmits I love shooting guns (i got a hand gun and a shot gun!) I love making mulch (our anniversary present was a small mulcher) I love cutting down weeds and sumac!! it makes me feel powerful! I love working out at home! (I never thought that’d be the case) I enjoy the sunrise (Before this year, I barely ever got up to see one, lol)

…I could keep going but the point is that life is so amazing– a constant adventure and discovery!!

So far our 28days of Chistmas is a success!! tons of posting tons of fun #workoutproof pictures~ tons of great women who I’m so excited to get to know better!!

I got in my workout last evening at about 6pm… here’s my proof pic~ I’m sore today!!

Today I hope to get my workout done earlier.  Upper body and a run is on tap!!

2nd LEG done!

I got in my 2nd leg workout for the week today:

squats 45×20, 95×10, 135x10x2sets, 155×9, 135×10
knee ups on roman chair 2 sets– DH tightened it up, it works so much better now!
forward barbell lunges 65×10, 95×10, 95×5 + 4 stationary ones on each leg
Leg extensions 70# tons of reps, some single legged- 4 sets total
Knee ups on bench 2 sets
Dead lifts 95x2sets

At the same time as working out I couldn’t resist cleaning up a bit, so the workout took longer than expected…it’s so easy to get distracted when working out at home!!

Time to go shopping…we are on our way to Lowe’s.  Then later tonight we’ll be watching the UFC event.

UFC 148!!— who’s your pick to win the championship- Silva or Sonnen??

My guess is Silva, but I sure hope it’s a good fight!!

Until this morning, I had no idea this weekend was a HOLIDAY?? OM-Goodness!! where have I been??  Yesterday was the first day of summer break and I’m already exhausted!  LOL! My kids are fun and great, but it’s going take a bit of getting used to them being home.

With 20 more days to go in my 30 day in a row workout challenge, I am feeling good, yet hormonal as I’m on cday 25.  The past 3 days have looked like this-

Wed: 6 rounds of PBJ’s for my workout- I used Perfect push ups- added some rotation to my bulgarians, barefoot jumpin and did 3 sets of knee ups for abs too
Tues: Ran hills 6 (the first 3 no walking between–5 HARD MINS!) and 4 sprints

My workout today is full body lifting routine I was supposed to do yesterday– and maybe a run?? I’ve been working out at home, so I’m not sure, it’s HOT and VERY WINDY here.  Maybe if I hit the gym I could use their treadmill.  WE’ll see as the kids want to go to the pool??  And tonight my girls have a Softball game in a neighbor city…means time will be cramped.

Okay, Sorry so scattered, that’s what my hormones do to me!

Moving Forward with Week 5!

 

Hey All!!  Hope you are doing great…It seems like everyone if fired up for week #5!!  I know I am~ !  After this week we’ll be HALF done! Can you believe that?? My goodness time flies.  It really seems like it was just summer here and now it’s instantly fall…all the leaves are changing colors, etc… VERY PRETTY , but Chilly!

Well not really but close!
I had my PINK low rise terry sweat pants on today and even though I “knew” better, I went running/worked out in them anyhow…and they didn’t want to stay up!

So my at home workout looks like this:

*between sets cleaned the garage (where my home gym is located)

full squats no weight about 15
(BTW- i did do squats last night 95×10x3sets)

Made it to the Gym!!


Hi all!
TGIF!! and I got to the gym today.

After working out at home all week, except for Tuesday. I made it to
the gym! I needed it, an escape from my messy house!

Here is what I am doing:
Today is my first day of "Buffing", I am planning on having a
photoshoot in 2weeks...so that is my motivation. The goal for me is
to lose a couple real pounds and then do a photo prep week that will
dehydrate me a bit down 3-4 more pounds. I will try and explain the
process a bit as I go along.

My eating so far:
8 am-
1 cup cooked oatmeal with 1/4 c. vanilla soy milk and 1 tsp brown
sugar. Also 1 choc scoop of protien in h20 and my vitamins:
b-6,b-12,magnesium, cal, apple cider vinegar pill, ginko, st. john's
wart, (p.s. I get sick from multivitamins so I usually take children's
chewables, but I am out)lubriflex and water
3 - 6oz c. coffee with sugar(bad I know but I am not going to have
equal and I need to buy better stevia) and powdered ff creamer
1 green drink while working out and 1 bottle of water
post workout NO2
12:30
Egg burrito...3 whole eggs on ww tortilla, a little butter and tabasco
sauce and salsa, yummy
Supps:
Lubriflex, b-6, mag, cal, zinc, Flax oil, ginko, st. john's wart
water

so far so good on that! I have been bad!! about not eating during the
day much, just a ton at night over the last few days...so I feel
stuffed right now! Also, my coffee intake needs to be cut a
little...I will work on that starting monday, wink, wink.
The hard part for me comes in the evening...I always over eat at
night! I will be strong and diligent!

My workout:
warm up on r-bike 5 min
Bench paired with tricep extensions(meaning an opposing body part

walk on treaddy with incline of 15% for 10 min @ 4.2 mph followed by a
8 min run 2% incline 2 min @8mph, 6 min @9 mph

So that is it....I am focusing on one day at a time, GET BUFF IN A DAY!
