Oh wow, how did it get to be Friday?  I literally was in bed almost all day Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed and half of Thurs….CRAZY! I have not been knocked on my booty so hard in a long, long time! Glad that’s over, HA!!
3 of our 6 in the family got it bad- Gracie first, then Tia and I.  Hoping no one else has to lose a week of their life to this flu.

 

Anyhow enough about that, it seem like sickness is the only thing I’ve blogged about this week. Truth be told, I’ve had a lot going on in my BRAIN during the time off. I’ve been thinking about a lot!!

 

I had a fun question asked of me a couple week ago “What are 3 things on your bucket list?”  It’s an interesting question because I didn’t know off the top of my head…I had to think about it for a while.

Here are the 3 I came up with:

  1. To learn to sing
  2. To own a horse (and learn to ride it)
  3. To visit Germany During Oktoberfest

Like I said, I’ve been thinking about a lot of things Death, life, living, money, time, energy, work, being lazy, goals, vision, people, love, etc…

So much thinking has made me glad to get back to workouts, they clear my head.

Today’s plan, bike and do chest/triceps.

Burning lungs

Well…I did it, I got a little exercise today. Rode the bike for about 15 mins then went on a short walk outside.  My lungs were burning from the bike…I didn’t overdo it– Hoping it was just enough to get things moving forward.

So far I haven’t taken any medication today a good sign I’m on the mend– thinking that by the weekend I may have some energy back.

Tia was home sick with me again today– but she’s expecting to go back to school tomorrow!! YAY!!

I sure hope no one else gets sick

Whacky Wednesday

Time to get a bit Whacky! I’m so sick of dealing with the UBER SERIOUS side of people. My solution is to get even more WHACKY than ever!!

Did ya’ll know that I’m kinda crazy?  I am a bit of a goofball and I love making fun of myself.  I just spent some time watching the “Swedish Chef” on YouTUBE! Love him!!

This video I just a quick little blog I did over the weekend…

Okay, so last night turned out quite exciting here. I was in the middle of my workout when I heard a gun shot! Travis shot a BIG BOBCAT about 50 feet from our chicken coop! I think the cat was HUNGRY for a Chicken Dinner!

DH was so excited, it’s his first bobcat ever and it was very big and beautiful. Needless to say, my workout was over.

Anyhow, may have been for the best, I was very sore and tired from the past 3 days of workouts. I did manage to do some bench, some abs, and a few tricep dips.  I also did get in my 20 mins of biking in the morning.

Today, I’ll do a bit more upper body lifting with some boxing and I’ll get in a good solid run too.

Tia is home sick today with a very sore throat…so I’ll be making her some soup and praying she’ll recover quickly.

 

let’s remember to have some fun today, Joy, Laughter and HUMOR are supposed to be a part of life. Just take some time to get a little WHACKY!! it’s fun!!

POA Week #6

Yesterday I didn’t get in my lifting as I had hoped, but that’s okay because I DID have a super hard run and got in 100 lunges

6 to Sexy~ day 35: Final week #6 Challenge: Lunges

POA:

Mon- 10am bike 20 mins; 2-3pm Back/Shoulder/Bicep lifting +100 lunges + ABS!

 

Tue- weigh in day for the finish of my 4 week dietbet.com morning fasted hills run and bike + whatever else I need to do to hit weight- shouldn’t be too hard since I am at 132.2 today (need to get to 130.9), SWEAT IT OUT, like a fighter trying to make weigh in,  lol!; afternoon- Chest/Triceps + lunges and ABS

 

Wed- LEGS! Abs and lunges (no Cardio!!-best part of leg day)

 

Thurs- morning bike; Back/Sh/Biceps and I’d love to get to the track for SPRINTS! +lunges

 

Fri-Morning bike; Chest/triceps + lunges and abs

 

Sat- Intervals or Long run again lunges and abs

Sun- LEGS and lunges

 

The focus is to keep pushing hard on my running and get in 6 good lifting workouts too!  I am leaning up for sure, excited to take my new measurements and pics for the end of the 6 to sexy.

 

Other things that are going on here include my DD’s Tia and Layla joined BB this year. They have their first practice on Tues night, gotta run to Rogers with them tomorrow afternoon to buy shoes and shorts and sports bras PLUS costumes for Friday.

 

My son has a BIG football game against Shiloh this week, they are a private school here who can sorta “recruit” football players…so they are typically very good.

 

Here’s my bikini pic for day #7….It was 85 outside. HOTT!!

Sucked In!!

I keep getting SUCKED INto being on my computer– I’m getting off it right after I post this.  Instead I need to get SUCKED INto cleaning my house!! All the while SUCKING IT IN (my tummy that is, lol)!!

Yesterday, I got in a modified leg workout as I brought TIA (my 9 year old DD) through a workout: a circuit #3x’s through Squats Lunges Abductor-V’s Laying side leg raises Sit ups

then I squatted more and did some bulgarians then I played catch with Gunner (football)

Today, I broke into the 120’s for weight = 129.6, YAY!! On my wait to pick up Gunner from Football camp,  I ran around town for 21minutes– and here in a bit I’ll do a back, shoulder, bicep lift + 20 mins extra cardio. TIA wants to lift on the bowflex, so I’ll use that a bit today too!

Running SCARED!

The Warrior Dash is less than 6 weeks away and I’m Running SCARED!! Scared of the race KILLING me!  Literally I am SCARED of failing, feeling horrible in the race and dying of physical exhaustion, lol!!

I’ve been striving to get in my runs lately and feel like I am improving on them each time.  At this point I’ve been consistently hitting it 3x’s a week.  Last night I ran 6 hills despite being so tempted to skip it all together…I am very happy that I did it, but my body is EXHAUSTED from them and the upper body lifting workout I did before it yesterday afternoon.

The weather has been so amazing since Saturday– it’s so energizing!! the kids have been out exploring on our land– playing in the creek a bunch– catching all sorts of tad poles, crawfish and butterflies.  Here’s TIA with a really beautiful butterfly on her arm– simply amazing!!!

 

Anyhow- today I am in Bentonville at our old house–working on a BIG “to do” list that needs to be done so we can get finished with this move/leasing process.  I certainly hope that by mid April we’ll have it DONE!!

Time Management March

“Time management MARCH!” will be my theme for the upcoming month.  Why you ask??  Well, I am in a tish of a funk today…I think it’s a combo of colder weather, a messy house and frustration with having too much work that needs to be done (namely TAXES) that I can’t seem to get it done!  Time is just flying by every day with “busy-ness” and before I know it another weekend is here.  I love weekends but really need more productive work days!  I need to focus on my time management for March!

The past 2 days were crazy busy- GO, GO, GO!!  I enjoyed yesterday so much, getting my hair lighter was so awesome! And then the girls had dance and the twin’s muscical production for school.  Tia and Layla were so cute!!  I could tell Tia was nervous, she even mentioned that in the afternoon’s production she was so nervous she got sweaty, lol!!  Layla on the other hand is a PERFORMER- Holy Cow!! that girl lights up on stage like no one I’ve ever known!!  I can’t wait to see her shine on stage more in the future.

So, yesterday I was strapped for time and skipped lifting legs (which I have not done since last Saturday) and I opted to run on the tready instead.  I warmed up with 15 mins on the R-bike and then hit the tready.  It was a decent run, my best in awhile- but I’d way rather run outside!  I went for 20 mins- 6 intervals @ 9mph, 2 @8mph- easy minutes at 6mph total distance- 2.35 average speed: 7.2mph cals  burned- 300

Today I met up with Emily (my photog) for our week #5 “workout with someone” challenge- We lifted upper body as a PUSH/PULL workout.  She may join my gym 🙂  That would be fun!!!

Time to go shower, clean and get ready for the kids to be home~

I didn't cut my run short … thanks to YOU!

Well HELLO!!

This morning I went on a fasted run~I planned on doing a basic out an back of 3 miles total….well not even half way through I felt like cutting it short. Over and over again I had to talk myself into going the entire way…my thoughts of YOU kept me going!! THANK YOU!

Yesterday was a “active” rest day for me…I had a fun day! I cleaned in the morning, sun bathed in the early afternoon while listening to a few good Biblical messages on my Iphone, went for a couple little bike rides around the block with my DD Tia, then I messed around in my flower bed: weeding, transplanting, watering, etc…, then my DH and I played some “redneck golf’, and some1 on 1 basketball, then we painted a couple walls in the front room of our house and I finished off my day watching “under the tuscan sun”

It was a good day!

My POA for this week is to get a ton of work done before the 4th!!

M-run (done!), pay bills, work
T- legs, laundry

Th-photos, stats, final entry for contest…I am doing them on Thursday because I want to workout on Wednesday

The plan is to DIET HARD!

HI Girls!!…well I made it through another boosting phase!!! Today was the last day~ WHEW!!! I am so excited to be buffing again!!!
The Plan is to DIET HARD!! I haven’t been this serious about cutting down/leaning up in a long time! I’ve been at a comfortable nice weight for the past year or two and haven’t had an BIG reason to diet. I actually wouldn’t “have to” right now…but I want to feel super confident and thin for our trip to the beach.

So here is my POA for this first week of buffing:
**DIET** Each day get in my protein and greens– LOW carbs!! follow 5-3-3-3 portions and tons of water!**

M- Tia and Layla’s Birthday!!! warm up good for 10 mins, then try to run for at least 5mins- then do Legs– we’ll also probably go Bowling
T-back, shoulders, bi’s, abs and swimming– yes, I am trying to learn to swim
W-Chest, tri, ABS, run
Th-LEGS!! hard and abs too
F- Back, Sh, Bi, run and maybe swim with the kids??
Sa-Valentine’s day???— no plans yet—Chest, tris, ABS and intervals
Su-maybe go swim with kids?

BTW~ I didn’t workout today. Sunday workouts are always *bonus*, so I don’t feel bad for not getting it done today~ plus it was my last day of boosting…I needed to rest up, lol!

Well, I gotta roll…I have more b-day prep to do and more work to get done before tomorrow.

Let’s plan on having a GREAT week~ I am totally going to be focused on my workouts and diet!! it will be FUN!!!
