This week’s mini challenge…

SSS contest~~ WEEK #6 Mini-Challenge “try on your bikini DAILY”~

The reasoning behind this challenge is to get you looking at yourself and motivated to take action towards making your bikini look even better on you!!

I know for me trying on bikinis can be fun or painful! Know that you can create a better body…taking action daily and doing the little things will add up!!! BELIEVE you can wear your bikini with confidence and you will soon be strut your stuff on the beach !!!! Know that you can create a better body…taking action daily and doing the little things will add up!!!

BELIEVE you can be confident in your bikini by next summer!!!!

A fun option on this challenge is to take a daily picture of you in your bikini…I’ve done this before and it was very fun!

Get after it and be relentless, we are closing in on the finishing weeks of the SSS contest and I plan on kicking it in!!

Mojo is on the rise!

HEW!! I’ve had a weird week…It’s been very busy, very good and bad all at the same time, lol!! The GREAT part of my week has been the SUPER Start of the Six to Sexy contest!!  I’m so excited for us to have stellar results!! The MOJO is definitely there and we are going to continue to have a blast as we move along this FALL!!

 

The not so great part of my week…I got horrible chigger bites last weekend while i was in the woods, it took until Thursday to finally be feeling more normal. Then, add to that a nasty bruise cut on the back of my heel from moving a chair on Tues, I was limping all over on Wednesday. All those issues are better now– it’s going to be a great day and weekend ahead!

 

My Mojo towards being SEXY is rising!  I had a much better day yesterday (a rest day)…feeling good about life right now!

Today’s about my GARAGE make over~
I am working towards clearing it out to move all my gym equipment into it. I have to give away a bunch of stuff and also put a bunch of stuff in the attic or other sheds.  I also have an area that never got painted to finish.  Once I get at least half of it empty I can buy flooring and have my HOME GYM assembled. It’s a nice piece of equipment that would really ADD to my workouts!

 

 

Other things on my TO DO List:

  • complete my starting stats (pics and thoughts already done)
  • bring Gunner to a b-day party
  • trip to post office
  • workout- upper body lift (a mish-mosh of NON-SORE bodyparts) and run

We’ll time to GO!!

~I believe… To WIN, no one needs to LOSE~ I read that statement somewhere last a while back…and it STRUCK me! I am very competitive, and LOVE to WIN…AND I also LOVE seeing others win.

 

HOWEVER, there are times when I catch myself in a contest with someone wishing that they would LOSE~so I can WIN. I DON’T want to EVER think that way!!!

That’s why I LOVE that no one has to lose in order for ME to win!! We can all win~ woohoo!

I’m having issues with self sabotage lately in my diet.  It seems like the second I start seeing the progress I want, I throw it away with some really bad choices.  I’ve got to stop that this next half of our contest!  I need to be more consistently in control!!

Summer Stuff & Diet Talk

Its almost 9:30 and all my kids are still asleep…crazy summer vacation!  Anyhow…We have lots of stuff on our TO DO list for the summer yet I think my kids may just sleep through the entire thing!

28 days of Christmas: Day 17

XMAS Day 17~ today is an official DAY off~ so enjoy it!!  I am planning to get all sorts of stuff accomplished on my To Do list!! If you’ve missed any workouts, be sure  to do them TODAY!!

Also, on days you don’t workout your entire focus needs to be on DIET~

Here’s the diet I’m trying to follow for contest:

OVERALL “5&5+” Diet goal:

By “5&5+” I am referring to serving guidelines- let’s put are focus on what TO Eat in a day vs. What NOT to eat:

5 proteins servings daily
AND
5 Fruits and veggies

+Plus FAT = what ever FATS come with those proteins, fruits and veggies (meat fats, dressings, oils, butter, etc…)

Don’t go overboard with “extra fats” and be WISE about your food choices- but PLEASE enjoy your food and fats in moderation. They are good for you and needed for a healthy body! (FYI- this 5&5+ fits perfectly into my hormonal timing diet recommendations for buffing …more info on that is in my books) chef

Like I said- “FOCUS on what we CAN EAT vs. what we can’t- FOCUS on Solutions!!!”

 

 

What Energizes You??~ Shine in 49: Day 22

I think it’s very neat how each and everyone one of us are different~ what gets one person EXCITED can be extremely BORING to someone else.  That’s why I am wondering WHAT ENERGIZES YOU?  Will you share your answer with me by commenting here?

Some of the things that energize me are:

  1. Encouraging others- When I encourage others it keeps me energized to stay accountable myself and to set a good example~ otherwise I’d feel like a hypocrite
  2. Competition- give me a way to compete with someone and I will get intense!
  3. Performing- I like the pressure of needing to “perform”; I rise to the occasion and “turn it ON”
  4. Teaching others- I love sharing what I know with others~ I pride myself on being able to explain complicated things in a way that is not so complicated.
  5. SPORTS! I love playing and watching soooo many sports~ I used to think I should have been born a boy.
  6. RESULTS- getting results from something I worked towards energizes me to keep going!
  7. Seeing others succeed!! Success Stories are so inspirational and energizing
  8. Hormones- I am obsessed with hormones, lol!
  9. Supplementation- I love doing HUMAN exeriments on myself and learning about every type of nutrient known to man!
  10. Exercise and Sports Science~ I am a total nerd when it comes to this stuff!  I really love reading research articles, medical journals about anything to do with training and sports supplementation research, etc…I should really go back to school and get my masters or doctorate in it.

On the other hand, some things that DO NOT energize me are:

  • Handyman stuff
  • Tools
  • Crafts, Sewing, scrap-booking, etc…
  • Cooking, cleaning, housework
  • homework
  • reading for leisure (unless I have a reason to read something, you won’t find me reading)…I do like looking a pictures in magazines 🙂
  • decorating
  • shopping- unless it’s for shoes, I like shoes!
  • basic hygiene- I hate showering, shaving, blow drying my hair, putting on lotion, make up, etc…I do it, but I don’t like it!~LOL!

I am so DARN DETERMINED to get to my goal!! I love that feeling of FOCUS!!!

Oh Happy Day!

OH Happy day!!  I slept good last night (thank you!!) and I so enjoyed my morning today~ It was the coolest thing to have all 4 of the kids ride the bus to school for the first time, by 6:45 my house was empty and I celebrated by going back to bed for a bit more sleep!! Sleeping

Then once I got up I got another gift- the scale said I was another pound down WooHoo!

So today is cycle day 20 and I weigh 123…that’s 6 full pounds down since cycle day 4 and the start of the “30days to Buff”~ wild!! I know that I’ll be gaining some water weight over the next week as my body preps for TOM but for now I am at my goal for my Anniversary weekend!! YIPPIE!

I got to talk to Deb this morning- MAN she ROCKS!!! Be sure to cheer her on and keep her in your thoughts as she competes at the Bluff’s Classic- this will be her 3rd year at that show 🙂  And I am certain she’ll rock it again!!

I’ve got loads of stuff to get done- so I’ll be back tomorrow to catch up more with you all.

Lots going on = Joy!

I love it when I have Lots going on, to me being BUSY= JOY!!!  I hate, hate, hate being bored- so since busy is the opposite of bored I love it!  From time to time I do need to “decompress” and do nothing and rest- that’s the way God made us, right? Busy, busy, busy for 6/7 th’s of my life is just about perfect! 

Today I’m in the ZONE~ finishing work now, before the LONG Holiday weekend! Tomorrow my weekend starts!! I’ll be playing tennis, golfing, lifting weights, sprinting, lighting fireworks, BBQ’ing, playing all sorts of games….all because I am FREE!!

FREEDOM ROCKS!!

Learning New Stuff!

Learning new stuff is fun and sooooo important! I expect that I’ll never ever stop learning and for those of you who KNOW me you know I love to self-experiment. My current experiment is “the WATER CURE”….which basically teaches people to drink more water and intake more salt (sea salt)… I have been drinking plenty of water my entire adult life, but the SALT is NEW! AND I have to say it really makes sense to me. I started taking salt with my water yesterday so it’s too soon to tell much, but I feel good so far!

BuFFING is going GREAT!!! This morning I weighed in at 126…so that’s 2 pounds off of me since last Friday when I started buffing~ MY Goal is to reach 125 by Friday and then 124 by the end of buffing next Friday….then I’ll take pics and compare to the ones I took on 3/28.

My workout today was CHEST, TRIs, ABS, intervals and 100 lunges…

Here’s how it went

Then 100 walking lunges broken into sets of 30, 30, 40…my quads are a bit sore from the lunges over the past 2 days~ but my booty is not. I hope to remedy that with tomorrow’s leg workout!!!

Then I spent the rest of the afternoon outside chatting with my sister, messing around on facebook, checking e-mails, etc…It was PERFECT outside- 70, sunny and AWESOME!!!

I had a Tired TOOSHIE Tuesday!! YAY!! I love doing LUNGES~ they hurt so good!! As you can tell my week is off to a good start…I am feelin’ GOOD! Monda I got in a decent leg workout and some extra cardio- 30 mins total (includes a 15 min warm up). I was also able to get a bunch of cleaning done around the house and laundry too!!
Laundry is all done at the moment!!
So…Tuesday I did a really good BACK, SH, BI, ABS and 100 lunges workout!! It went well and I am leaning up in my shoulders and chest~ so weird to see striations while lifting–actually, It’s kinda gross…thank God that my upper body doesn’t look like that 24/7.

Well, I gotta go…I have a conference call soon~
