Stand and Dance abs: “Fab Abs” Day 13

NO Equipment, no problem– you can still get a great cardio workout and for your abs too!

Your Challenge for Fab ABS day #13 is to do this STANDING ABS + Dancing abs for at least 13 minutes! Put on some music and get moving!!

STANDING ABS

Be sure as you do this workout to use good posture- tummy in, keeping core nice and tight, we want to create a long lean midsection
1- hopping with variations of side to side “ski jumping” keep chest high, long lean torso and tummy tight- use a mirror to make sure you are not favoring one side over the other.
2- Do some runner drill high knee skipping with the variation of forward, more side to side movement and exaggerated crunch by bringing upper body toward knee.
1 min of it followed by 1 minute of recovery in just marching= interval training!!

Burning lungs

Well…I did it, I got a little exercise today. Rode the bike for about 15 mins then went on a short walk outside.  My lungs were burning from the bike…I didn’t overdo it– Hoping it was just enough to get things moving forward.

So far I haven’t taken any medication today a good sign I’m on the mend– thinking that by the weekend I may have some energy back.

Tia was home sick with me again today– but she’s expecting to go back to school tomorrow!! YAY!!

I sure hope no one else gets sick

Sunny Saturday

Sunny beautiful Saturday here!! It’s going to be in the 80’s~ a MUST to get outside today and enjoy.

Yesterday I ended up running outside, then rode bike for another 22 mins after that. Felt so TIRED last night but thanks to some afternoon coffee yesterday I could NOT fall asleep!

 

Anyhow…up now heading to my bike, then planning to eat some really good food today. I feel like a salad

Last night I got in my bikini pic~ looks like I’m leaning up a bit despite the water retention:

 

My weight was 135 this morning…something weird is going on with my body right now.  Tons of water retention and stiffness/inflammation.  NO FUN! Mojo is a bit down…Been a bit ill since about Wednesday this week. My bladder is causing me some issues…the thing about it is that I get re-curring UTI infections and typically STRESS is what triggers them. I don’t feel like I have a full blown UTI, but I do feel like it’s on the verge– this water retention is a sign of my kidneys being weird too. Hopefully, it won’t go full blown!

 

Regardless, I know I’ll feel better if I get moving and get in some sunshine today!!

My 6 for Wednesday!

6 Daily Goals– that will be topics in my daily journal

  1. cycle day- today is day 28…I don’t feel sexy, but I am feeling a bit more mojo than the past couple days.  Happy my cycle is being at least normal length again.
  2. weight- I weighed in at 132.4 today…not bad but could be better. Excited to see the scale start moving down again next week!

  4. Workout- Plan is to Ride bike and this afternoon Lift Legs. Today’s Sexy Topic

  6. Sexy Actions- I will get dolled up for bringing my son to the Dr. and I will help him get his confidence on by giving him a hair cut, lol!  I will also try to do my SEXY WORKOUT today. The goal is to lift legs + do a butt sandwich

A million and 1 things

How come I want to do a million and 1 things all at the same time? It is a constant struggle for me to “FOCUS” on one task at a time. I think it stems from the years of raising 4 kids + a husband who all demand my attention at the same time! Anyhow, today is cycle day 21 and I feel it– slow moving today, tired, scattered, body aches and such. HIF is on! But, I will overcome!

Mojo is on the rise!

HEW!! I’ve had a weird week…It’s been very busy, very good and bad all at the same time, lol!! The GREAT part of my week has been the SUPER Start of the Six to Sexy contest!!  I’m so excited for us to have stellar results!! The MOJO is definitely there and we are going to continue to have a blast as we move along this FALL!!

 

The not so great part of my week…I got horrible chigger bites last weekend while i was in the woods, it took until Thursday to finally be feeling more normal. Then, add to that a nasty bruise cut on the back of my heel from moving a chair on Tues, I was limping all over on Wednesday. All those issues are better now– it’s going to be a great day and weekend ahead!

 

My Mojo towards being SEXY is rising!  I had a much better day yesterday (a rest day)…feeling good about life right now!

Today’s about my GARAGE make over~
I am working towards clearing it out to move all my gym equipment into it. I have to give away a bunch of stuff and also put a bunch of stuff in the attic or other sheds.  I also have an area that never got painted to finish.  Once I get at least half of it empty I can buy flooring and have my HOME GYM assembled. It’s a nice piece of equipment that would really ADD to my workouts!

 

 

Other things on my TO DO List:

  • complete my starting stats (pics and thoughts already done)
  • bring Gunner to a b-day party
  • trip to post office
  • workout- upper body lift (a mish-mosh of NON-SORE bodyparts) and run

We’ll time to GO!!

Is it ever okay to have a pity party??

“NO!”

All it does is make things worse~ giving that kind of energy to the negative doesn’t solve anything! It only makes the problems bigger and more complicated and more damaging etc….

RESIST the urge to fall into the pity party trap!!!! If you feel one coming on- STOP it and do a 360 degree turn around by listing all the positives you can focus on instead. Get your mojo moving in the right direction.  If you can master this one thing you will move forward towards an excellent life!

BEAT!

OH Man!! Was I BEAT after yesterday…Thank GOD I don’t have to go anywhere beside the gym today!!  I am enjoying the laid back quality of today.  Just me and my computer for a bit!

My day yesterday went well, but I didn’t get in my upper body workout. I did get my run done and stayed active most of my day with moving junk and MOWING!  I just wanted to get around the house a bit, but the Crazy mower was getting bogged down constantly- I had to clean it out and restart it over and over again!  I can’t wait to get a  riding one~ just have to get HUBBY to pull the trigger on it.  It’s gonna be “his” deal, not mine, lol!

Anyway, the kids are good– they have had benchmark testing all week.  So NO HOMEWORK!!! YAY!!  Silly Layla has lost her glasses AGAIN– If they don’t turn up today, I will have to get a new pair ordered ASAP.  She has really bad vision in one of her eyes– a muscle problem- so she’s supposed to “patch” her good eye in order to make the bad eye work.  Without glasses her good eye takes over even more– so…I must get her a pair.

The AC guy was supposed to come this morning—-  I guess that’s not gonna happen being that it’s past noon already.  I just hope they don’t decide to show up right at my “gym time”. -my downstairs AC isn’t working quite right– part of the time it doesn’t blow air thru the vents??

Workin’ Wednesday

My Wednesday was spent on the MOVE– working hard on mowing, fertilizing, weeding, moving, cleaning, sorting, and then RUNNING!!  I am very proud of myself for getting in my second run of  the week.

Today I was down to 128.6…the first time I’ve seen 128 in a few weeks, YAY!! Staying active works and running works!  Now if I can keep losing a pound a week for April, I’ll be very happy to have my weight come in at about 125 for the WArrior DASH! It’s so much easier to run a bit lighter!!

Tuesday- I didn’t get a leg workout in, instead Gunner and I played tennis.  So Legs are on tap for today!

I have to go unload my van, get some boxes unpacked and eat lunch so I’m fueld for my workout at 3!

p.s. my plan is for us to start a 10 week contest on th 9th or 16th…I’m just waiting for my new website to be finished prior to starting.

We made it to the gym just in time for kids class…they have it every tues and thrus mornings and the kids love it!
Here is my workout:
Warm up elliptical 7 min- These were done as paired circuits…3 sets of each pair with very little rest between, the object is to keep moving but still lift as heavy as you can for 6-8 reps of each exercise-

Chest press 80,90,90
tricep extension 50, 60, 60

bench 95, 105, 105
bench dips 10, 10, 10

cable flys 30x8x3
tricep push downs 70, 80, 90

Incline flys 35’sx6x3
Kickbacks 10x10x3

Knee ups 40
Crunches 50

OH AND my booty is sore? is yours???? If not get on it!!
