Your husband’s a little boy- Marriage tip 1/23

“I ain’t your Mamma”….but that doesn’t mean I can’t take care of you!

There is a little boy inside every man (and a little girl inside every woman)…It’s easy to forget but all of us are shy, insecure, needy, helpless, mischievous, playful, annoying, stubborn, etc…. All men are little boys that grew up!

I’ve found that taking a step back to look at my husband as a little boy helps me have more patience, more sympathy and take more time to simply care for him. It’s eased the frustration that comes with thinking “you are a grown man, can’t you take care of it yourself?”

It’s particularly helpful when dealing with the lack of his ability to do basic jobs that a MOM may have once done for her “little boy”….food prep, household chores, laundry, making doctor appointments, etc… AND don’t let me forget to mention when he is sick! Men are certainly little boys when they are sick!

Try on your bikini DAILY!! SSS week 06

This week’s mini challenge…

SSS contest~~ WEEK #6 Mini-Challenge “try on your bikini DAILY”~

The reasoning behind this challenge is to get you looking at yourself and motivated to take action towards making your bikini look even better on you!!

I know for me trying on bikinis can be fun or painful! Know that you can create a better body…taking action daily and doing the little things will add up!!! BELIEVE you can wear your bikini with confidence and you will soon be strut your stuff on the beach !!!! Know that you can create a better body…taking action daily and doing the little things will add up!!!

BELIEVE you can be confident in your bikini by next summer!!!!

A fun option on this challenge is to take a daily picture of you in your bikini…I’ve done this before and it was very fun!

Get after it and be relentless, we are closing in on the finishing weeks of the SSS contest and I plan on kicking it in!!

Happy Hump Day!

Missed posting my blog yesterday, so I’ll double up today!

First off, Here’s my vlog from last night~ 61 days to go and YES, I love bikinis and Yes, I have a life…LOL

So, my workout yesterday was a killer! How do I know? Well, I’m already killer sore that’s how!

I did legs:

Warm up on bike 10 mins

some body-weight squats and DB squats for more warm up

Squats

45×10

135×10

155×4 (bar was slipping off my back)

155×8

155×10

135×10

 

Deads

135x10x3sets

 

Lunges ladder up

55# on back forward lunges- 1,1, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 5

– glad I didn’t do another set, been laying off lunges like this for 3 months due to my ankle sprain

 

Knee extensions 115x10x4 sets with vmo emhasis at end of each set

Bowflex leg curls 50each side x10x3 sets

 

And I did do some abs– on curl bar and hip twists

 

After the leg workout Travis and I went for a walk with our Cuji down the top of our hill trail- we’ve got tons of tiny bunnies on it and dropped carrots along the path for them as “treats”– it was about a 20 min walk. We saw a deer too and it was so cool– she walked about 10 meters toward us!  I think she was curious about Cuji– wondering “what the heck is that fuzzy white fur-ball of an animal?”

 

Now today, I have a chest, tris, run plus ABS

on tap…BUT FIRST, gotta go to Bentonville to get my nails done and do some 4th of July shopping

Please watch this short video….It’s 4 Diet Tips that will help reveal your abs:

4 diet tips to reveal your abs
1- hydrate
2- protein
3- increase fiber
4- supplementation

ALSO, for your ab workout today, it’s time for you to PRACTICE your sit ups.
Do the following– I’d recommend having a timer and be sure to secure your feet. A curl bar or DB’s work well for this-

20 sit ups nice and slow
~rest 30 seconds
20 sit ups as fast as possible
~rest 30 seconds
15 sit ups nice and slow
~rest 30 seconds
15 sit ups as fast as possible
~rest 30 seconds
10 sit ups nice and slow
~rest 30 seconds
10 sit ups as fast as possible

“Fab Abs” day 12 is all about Ab Secrets!!

First off let’s talk EXERCISE~ let’s LEARN more about your tummy and how to apply exercise and diet strategies that will create an optimal waistline.

I am a big believer that ab work can be done daily…and should be done that often when you are in “REBUILDING” mode. If you want to truly transform your tummy, constant focus and EFFORT is the only way you’ll get the change you desire. It’s not just doing SIT UPS– it’s more than that– That’s why we’ve had daily EXERCISE Challenges in this contest to expose you to a variety of exercise that shape your tummy.

Fab Abs day #12 Challenge–  read the 4 pages (attached and below- click to enlarge) from my AFTER BABY ABS BOOK And DO This circuit 3x’s

“C” ABS– 10 Ab Crunches focus hard on CRUNCHING hold if for 3 seconds each crunch

“T” ABS- Plank for 20 Seconds – keeping core tight and sucked in

“E” ABS- 10 Knee ups on a bench or chair…focus on LOWERING your legs slowly- resist the stretch, take 5 seconds to lower them on each rep

Oh wow, how did it get to be Friday?  I literally was in bed almost all day Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed and half of Thurs….CRAZY! I have not been knocked on my booty so hard in a long, long time! Glad that’s over, HA!!
3 of our 6 in the family got it bad- Gracie first, then Tia and I.  Hoping no one else has to lose a week of their life to this flu.

 

Anyhow enough about that, it seem like sickness is the only thing I’ve blogged about this week. Truth be told, I’ve had a lot going on in my BRAIN during the time off. I’ve been thinking about a lot!!

 

I had a fun question asked of me a couple week ago “What are 3 things on your bucket list?”  It’s an interesting question because I didn’t know off the top of my head…I had to think about it for a while.

Here are the 3 I came up with:

  1. To learn to sing
  2. To own a horse (and learn to ride it)
  3. To visit Germany During Oktoberfest

 

What 3 things are on your bucket list?

 

Like I said, I’ve been thinking about a lot of things Death, life, living, money, time, energy, work, being lazy, goals, vision, people, love, etc…

So much thinking has made me glad to get back to workouts, they clear my head.

Today’s plan, bike and do chest/triceps.
