Oh wow, how did it get to be Friday?  I literally was in bed almost all day Sun, Mon, Tue, Wed and half of Thurs….CRAZY! I have not been knocked on my booty so hard in a long, long time! Glad that’s over, HA!!
3 of our 6 in the family got it bad- Gracie first, then Tia and I.  Hoping no one else has to lose a week of their life to this flu.

 

Anyhow enough about that, it seem like sickness is the only thing I’ve blogged about this week. Truth be told, I’ve had a lot going on in my BRAIN during the time off. I’ve been thinking about a lot!!

 

I had a fun question asked of me a couple week ago “What are 3 things on your bucket list?”  It’s an interesting question because I didn’t know off the top of my head…I had to think about it for a while.

Here are the 3 I came up with:

  1. To learn to sing
  2. To own a horse (and learn to ride it)
  3. To visit Germany During Oktoberfest

Like I said, I’ve been thinking about a lot of things Death, life, living, money, time, energy, work, being lazy, goals, vision, people, love, etc…

So much thinking has made me glad to get back to workouts, they clear my head.

Today’s plan, bike and do chest/triceps.

Errand Day

Hey all, I hopped out of bed this morning and got going on a ton of errands. Felt good to get things crossed off my “TO DO” list.  Lots of driving and finally getting home at 3:45 this afternoon, just in time for the kids to come home!

 

At about 5 I started my workout:

I did a good warm up of lunges, high knee grabs walking and side lunges.

Squats

Dead lifts

Hip ups

Knee/Leg Extensions

Adductions

Then it was time to leave again to bring Gracie to guitar.

Just got home now and I’m exhausted but feeling accomplished.

Really looking forward to a slower “stay at home” kind of day tomorrow!

Massages are GOOD!

Hey ladies, Sorry I missed blogging yesterday. I was busy getting a massage for a couple hours yesterday…don’t be too jealous, LOL!!

 

I was still not feeling quite myself yesterday, so the massage came at the perfect time.  Let me tell you, Massages are GOOD for so many reason! She worked on my psoas (by massaging the sides of my tummy),  my shoulder and my sciatic. WOW! All those areas were so tight and really needed some attention.  I pretty much considered the massage my workout for yesterday, so TODAY is the day that I get back to it for REAL!  I feel like my energy is finally on the normal side!!

 

I’ve really been trying hard to keep my diet on the cleaner side this week, in hopes that it’ll help the tummy heal up. Yesterday my weight was 130 so that’s down a couple pounds from last week already.  I am on cycle day 18 today– WOKE UP HUNGRY, a big sign that BOOSTING is on her way!

Track Excitement!

HEY YA!! Contest day 41!! S2S~ Day 41: Sexy Daughters?

My body said NO to my plan to workout yesterday…I had yet to take a rest day all of April– and My BODY KNEW IT!  So I had NO REAL WORKOUT YESTERDAY~ I did get in 100+ AWESOME Smith Lunges with 100#’s on the bar!! my booty is so happy, lol!!

Today I’ve got in my 20 mins fasted cardio on the bike

I’m gonna lift and go for a run in just about 10 mins!

I’ve been on the computer all day researching the US Track and Field events for Junior Olympics.  I registered as a coach and will soon be forming a track club here selfishly for myself and kids, lol!  Next year if all goes well we’ll open it up to other kids in the area.

I’ll be training for the 800m with my son and my girls will train for some events too–not sure which ones just yet for them?? — so we’ve got about 8 weeks to get ready for the Arkansas Meet, it’s on June 15th in Little Rock .

I’m excited about it!!

Gotta go for now, I’ll be back tomorrow to post a bit more!!

I’m Back!

Hey!! I’m back from my ski trip to Keystone…it was an amazing time!  I skied 2 days, fell approximately 30 times and have only 1 bad bruise to show for it!! LOL!!  It was a great break from real life and now I am trying my hardest to “RE-ENTER” life at full speed— TOUGH to do!!

Anyhow, I came home a sick little girl and the mess that occurs when Daddy babysits for 4 days   Layla stayed home today and I spent the day catching up on work, cleaning, cooking, shopping, laundry and got in a good chest workout with my boy.

Time to call it a night…but TOMORROW, I start the clean eats challege with Ya’ll!  Whohoo!!

My plan for the week.. is to lift a bit heavier this week.
The last couple I have been doing sets of 10 now this week I am going to go to sets of around 6 reps.

Here it is:
Moday-
Workout at noon with dh…lift chest/tri’s and do intervals(most likely run)

Tues-
Workout:back/bi’s/shoulders intervals or spin class 🙂

Wed-
Workout:LEGS!! I love leg day. The goal is a sore butt and I will get one!

Thursday:
Run intervals outside and some sprints!!

Friday: Workout: Chest/tri’s and spin? or intervals on upright bike

Sat: PICTURES??? I never got my starting contest pictures done, I am way over due for a set of progress pics…the last ones were done in early Dec
Workout: Back/Bi/Shoulders and run outside

Sunday:Church…we will make it this week!!

7 Days to Go! “Top of the HOUR” to YA!!

7 Days to Go!

Just one week– you and I can focus for 1 week…we can do it!!
Today’s task is simple– I want you to ask yourself this question at the top of every hour:
“What do I need to do right now to move towards breaking my habit?”

Here are some of how I expect to answer:

6:00am- Get my young and spry body out of bed!! GET UP!!!
7:00 am- Kiss my kids goodbye for the day…make sure they know I love them
8:00 am- Eat some eggs and then Clean my Kitchen
9:00 am- do my online time
10:00 am- eat a mid morning snack of an apple
11:00 am- prepare my errands for the day- post office trip, trip to dry cleaners, etc.
Noon- eat a healhty clean lunch like: romain/spinach salad with chicken, olives, tomoatoes, nuts and some ranch dressing
1:00pm- clean the kitchen up
And so on….

Use the top of each hour as a cue to keep asking yourself “what do I need to do right now”… to progress towards my short-term and LONG TERM Goals!

It’s working!! top of the hour cues!!

The task for today is working “Use the top of each hour as a cue to keep asking yourself “what do I need to do right now”… to progress towards my short-term and LONG TERM Goals!”…I’m staying focused, keeping my kitchen clean and getting stuff done!

YAY!!

Yesterday was a great day off…I worked outside clearing some brush, burning some brush and found that my tulip bulbs that I planted last fall are sprouting.  I had planted them upside down and thought they wouldn’t work, but at least some of them found their way to the surface :garden:

The twins and I also practiced some softball…they are total beginners and it’ll be fun to see how they progress this season.  Gracie did really well at her try out, but the poor girl got hit in the shin with a grounder!  She’s convinced she does NOT want to play anymore, which is really too bad!!!

I missed my second leg workout last week, so that’s on tap for me and my workout buddy, Gunner, today!  Everyone is healthy here finally and I am feeling excited for the spring.  I can feel MARCH coming.

March 1 I’m headed to Keystone for a ski trip…I’m thinking I need to prep for that a bit this week.  I need to be sure I have clothes and a body that can endure the altitude, cold and crazy muscles involved. I’m also going to go tanning and get my hair done this week….I feel the need to primp a bit!

I spent a bit of time this morning looking at my last set of progress pictures.  They were on December 5th…it was a couple weeks after I had been sick for a month.

I think I’m looking a bit leaner since then, but I do need to take a set of pictures to compare.  I’ll plan to do that this Saturday.

We’ll the TOP of the hour is coming again– time to refocus and stay productive!!

My Answer:


My best friend is hands down my husband. No friend of mine has ever been even close to THE BEST compared to him. We are so compatible in every way! WE think alike about almost every topic -Religion, Politics, Money, Business, Family, Values, etc…. WE also LAUGH at the same stupid things. Our all time favorite movie is “Dumb and Dumber” …we’ve watched that movie together at least 6 times and laugh harder each TIME!! Travis and I “DO” a lot together~ We talk a lot, work together, workout together, sleep together, watch sports together, play together, eat together… basically we do almost everything together!! I love my best friend!!

2 better days of eating

HEY!! My confession to you worked! I’ve now had 2 better days of eating…I’ve been eating my P’s and G’s …along with my 3 fats,  4 boosting  carbs and a daily treat 🙂  I’ve been doing GREAT!

Tonight Travis and I got in a good chest workout:

Chest press
Bench
Hammer Strength Bench
knee ups
Dips
lower back extensions
Roman chair knee ups

Just now I finished eating my post workout meal of chicken cashew stir fry with brown rice- VERY GOOD!!

It’s been dark and RAINY here all day~ But I’ve been actively working on my PMA!  I listened to a message about the “Garden of our Mind”…so I’ve been weeding all day Gardening  AND  it’s been working!! Amazing since it’s cycle day 23 (one of my worst days)!  God is so good!!

Joyous June!

HEY ALL!! June is here and I LOVE IT!!  June has to be my favoirite month- it’s full of  FUN and excitement!!!  June is JOYOUS!!

That’s why I’ve decided to make “Joyous June” my daily blogging theme for this month.

Have fun with my kids the last week of school- Field days!!
Celebrate the success of our Competition TEAMS’s Success and the SEXY in 70 entrantants!! WHOOHOO!!
 

I’ve gotta go get a few NEW things posted for the SX70 contest!! It’s our final PHASE~ PHASE 5!!!  TIME TO KICK IT!!
