Happy Friday

This week has flown by! I can’t believe it’s Friday??  I want to congratulate so many of you on your KILLER first week in the BB.com transformation contest. You are inspiring me with your awesome reports of lifting hard and being sore!!

I have had a decent week of workouts, I’ve not been lifting as hard as I had planned but I am getting good running workouts done and am lifting some.

Tue- ran hard hill sprints

Wed- did my lower body buffing from my book

Thurs- ran outside 12 loops plus 3 1 min hills– good longer type run

We’ve had Gracie home sick now 3 days this week. She’s had a fever and sinus/cold type symptoms…Stayed home Tues and Wed– went to school yesterday and now home again today.  Hoping she’ll get feeling better now that she’s got the whole weekend to recoup.

Today I have to run some errands into Bentonville.  Then pick up Grandma so she can come hang out with us again.   She splits time between here and my SIL’s house during the winter– in her escape from MN!

Okay, time to roll!!

Love ya’s,

Michelle

A Peek

Howday and a Happy Friday do you!!

I had a great day off of workouts yesterday~ A rest was good since I had such a full day. My DR. Appointment went well…we had a very interesting talk about fitness, diet, nutrition, diabetes, etc…Now I am set to go in Mon morning to get a blood panel run. I also had a really quick but good parent teacher conference with Gunner’s teacher. He’s got all A’s Again!! And his teacher seems to really like Gunner!!

I have yet to do my workout today- I will get it done in a bit…a run and upper body are on tap- I think I’ll just do it at home again. I’ve been enjoying that this week.

I’ve been trying to figure out where all my time goes?? I’ve taken some time to investiget it and thought I’d share it with you “A peek into my daily life”:

Workout- 1 hour 5 times a week on average- sometimes less, sometimes more
Work- 5 to 10 hours daily (limited nights and weekends- no Sundays usually)- lots of computer time: rally room, emails, face book, orders, business management, etc… + stuff like orders, product development, training programs, website maintenance, bills, taxes, videos….
Family time 24/7- this is a big time variable in my life- hours spent directly, only on my kids is at least 3 hours daily- but more often times up to 6 hours- which doesn’t seem like much after how crazy my existence was just 7 years ago- that was seriously 18+hours a day all about kids! I also strive to spend bonding time with my hubby- *SEE FOOTBALL and UFC
Clean/cook- 2-3 hours daily
Organize- 1 hour daily
Shop- 3-4 hours weekly
Phone Calls- 2-4 hours daily
Football- 15 hours weekly, maybe more??- way too much time here!! I watch a ton of football on TV- both College and NFL + NFL All Access, other talk shows, and Sound FX or NFL Replay- I also watch my son play and cart him to practice
UFC- 2-4hours a week is spent watching fighting +1 hour a week dreaming about being a fighter, lol
Surfing the Internet- 2-4 hours daily researching, shopping, following up on items, much of this is work related but many times I get side tracked
Sleep- 8 hours is a must for this lady
Devotion Time- 15 mins to 1 hour daily- God time, prayer, watching sermons, church, reading bible, reading other Bible base books, I am at a point in my life where I could do this 5 hours a day! I want MORE!!

As you can guess, this is a guess-timate and not all inclusive. I also have to spend time on things like showers, eating, primping, waiting, etc… You can also see that I do have “time wasters” in my life–but is it a waste to relax a bit and take time to bond with my hubby??

Anyhow- I sure hope you have a great weekend!! You know what I’ll be doing (UFC and FOOTBALL)

Love,

Michelle

get 'er done!

Lots of “TO DO’s” before the HOLIDAY- write a
diet, follow up with business partners, do tax stuff, accounting,
fulfillment, run, lift legs…WHEW~! Time to “GET ‘er DONE!!”

On the workout front, things are going well!!

Wed- ran 10 mins and played tennis for about 1.5 hours

Thurs- lifted chest/tris/abs with my son and did 11 mins of upright bike

Today’s plan- run same distance as Wednesday- about 10 mins; afternoon do legs

My weight is 128 today~ i am fine with that for now–but buffing is ON!! I am getting serious about cutting CARBS!  It’s the only way I can seem to lean up! my goal is to be 126 by the time I head to AZ on june 8th!

My mini-challenge for the week of eating 3 greens a day has been going GREAT!  I can tell in my energy levels.

some of my choices have included:

Brocolli slaw
red peppers
romain
pickles
asparagus
mushrooms
green beans

Time for me to get’er done!!

Happy Friday!!

Like a Kid in a Candy Store

Happy Friday!!

I was like a Kid in a Candy Store today at the gym…
To make a VERY long story short…I was a member at the gym I joined yesterday from the time my twins were 5 mo old until last year. It is a franchise who just this month opened a new gym a mile from my house and is in the process of opening a GIAGANTIC new gym in another town about 15 min. from me. So anyhow…I went back to My “old gym” today and felt HAPPY…I missed the good hard core weight training equipment SO much!! So many of my favorite pieces of equipment were still there plus more new ones I am gonna have to try…It was fun.

So I met up with DH at noon and we did my first real Chest/Tri workout in a while…Here it is:
Warm up on r-bike 6 min

Chest press mach warm up
50×15
70×15

Bench
95×10
115×10
115×7 (wimped out here)

Incline Hammer Press (one of my favorites!!!)
70×15
90×12
110×12- these felt great and I am still very strong despite not doing this machine for a year!

Dips-
15…these always bother my shoulder for some reason…it just feels like its gonna come out of the socket…so I quit them early
Tricep push downs
50×15
60×15
70×15

Tricep extensions with barbell
30×15
40x10x2

Bench dips
15

Knee ups on Roman Chair
25 reps

Walking lunges
100 in a row with 50#’s on my back

Stair mill
20 min of intervals ranging from 40 seconds to 4 min …I have missed this machine, sweat was drippin off of me!!

IT WAS GOOD TO BE BACK!!

On the personal front, thanks so much for your support for me this month…I have had some BIG challenges and am glad this month is almost in the books. I have learned a lot about myself, my GOD and my friends this month.

You all ROCK!
Love, Michelle
