40 days to FIT!! Day 16…LEGS!

Hey ya!! How’s it going?~ I can’t believe I am already 16 days into this 40 day challenge!! Things are going great and I love all the excitement from the comments on the featured blog posts!!! It’s so fun to interact with you on your journeys to FIT!!! Today was legs day for me!~ WHEEE!!!

I didn’t end up going to the gym until about 4…and it looked so weird when I got there. The gym just installed  NEW LIGHTS! Wow~ it was BRIGHT!

My workout went like this:

warm up
SQUATS~ knee ups between sets
DEAD LIFTS
Leg press
Calf Raises- between sets
leg curls- roman chair knee ups between sets
Smith butt squats
Smith Lunges- shoulder external rotation betweens sets
Leg Extensions
ab wheel between sets

then I tried to run~ Treadmill NOT FUN!!  I made it for 7 mins with 2 interals at 9mph~ I thought I was going to die…running AFTER a leg workout does not work!

Day #16-FIT tip-
Strive to get in “extra” outdoor activities whenever possible…30 mins of Sunshine and fresh air daily is a key  to good health.  A great idea activity: Wash your car yourself and rinse away 200 calories~! Picnic

40 days to FIT! Day 3~ I wanna see you!!!

My titles sure are a little bit boring this week, lol!  But it’s helping me keep on track…

My Day 3 is going to be a busy one~ but different than yesterday or Monday. The past 2 days I’ve been behind the computer too much!  I’ve been trying to get caught up since my HD crashed on the 4th of July and I was with out my good computer for almost 2 weeks.

Today the rest of my day looks kinda like this:
STORE- get food!! so I can eat good~ lots of protein and greens~ Buffing Starts tomorrow!!
OUTSIDE!- I need some fresh air and sunshine
GYM- I plan on going at 4pm with the kids…all of us need to get OUT of the house and I need a GREAT workout!
COOK- I will cook up some of the stuff I bought- make HB eggs, Chicken Salad, and some stir-fry for supper 😉

OH Man~ I am blogging this for my own record…I get what I think are “NIGHT TERRORS” quite often….for a while it was almost a nightly occurrence.  About a year ago,  I figured out that if I made sure it was really dark in my room it didn’t happen.  Since then, I have had fewer recently.  BUT last night~ WOW!! I had a HORRIBLE one. They always start off the same I sorta wake up and look to the side of my bed and I “think” I see an intruder there (it’s actually shadows, I think). But at the time I scream, JUMP over to my husband’s side of the bed and FREAK out until I wake myself up. It’s really scarry!  Well, last night I was so convincing that my DH actually thought someone was attacking me, so he grabbed me and it escalated from there…both of us thought we were the attackers. After about a minute (which seemed like 5) we both woke up enough to figure out that we were freaking out over nothing.  IT was insane!!  My heart rate had to be about 250bpm and I was exhausted!

Today’s fit tip was about being prepared!  Preparing both mentally and physically is vital to our success~ so…

MY son is 8!!! wow~

I am in recovery mode~ from the Big B-day party yesterday for my son!  He is now an 8 year old.

We had a good day and I enjoyed it, but over caffeinated myself, lol!!

The day started with cleaning, mixed in with working, then I headed to the store and BOUGHT TONS of presents and party stuff.

Gunner got a Wii for his BIG present~ looks like fun!!  I can’t wait to try it out, but Gunner and his friend Max are HOGGING IT, lol

One thing that I did for his present was to help him put up a start to his own website.

It was cool to get my Member of the Month Feature  news yesterday~ I think the writer did a great job on the interview.  If you haven’t seen it please take a peek.

Despite being off of workouts- I’ve kept active…OH if you missed the news…I am officially on a “break” from the gym until the 30th.  KIDS and BUSINESS  are my focus this entire next week–EVERYONE needs a break now and then…it is GOOD for you!

Wed- did a 10 min run
Thurs- went for a 1.5 mi walk plus all b-day prep

my weight is staying put at around 124, I don’t expect it to change much, but I’ll get a little softer from not lifting for these couple weeks.  It’ll come back just as fast as it left though.

Sleepy Sunday Oct 1st


October is I am Proud month—so being Oct 1st…let it get the positivity rollin’

I am Proud of myself today for getting to church…we’ve missed going for the last 3-4 weeks–so it felt good to go. Our regular pastor was not preaching, which is hard for me, becuase I LOVE my pastor. BUT I did “grab” a few postitive points from the sermon.

BUT,What is up? I am so sleepy today–I am having a hard time keeping my eyes open…It may be something to do with me being really sore…I had a little too long off of really lifting about 2-3 weeks….and now that I am back at it again–I am pooped! PMS doesn’t help much either. The weird thing is I took a nap yesterday, slept for 8 hours last night and still am hankering for a nap. Maybe I need some fresh air.

We are going to go out to eat as a family this evening…and maybe go to the mall…we’ll see on that part. DH wants to get an upright bike if we can find a decent one at a decent price today–so that would rock! If we had a bigger house, I’d have a home gym for sure. The “plan” is to get a bigger house in about a year…I can’t wait–Can you say Claustrophobia???

Yesterdays workout was running 3.3 miles with 3- 3 mins hard/1min off intervals and about 3 other 1 min intervals. Then DH and I lifted chest, tri’s and bi’s and of course I did ABS too!
