Photoshoot Set

Did I tell you??? I have a photo-shoot set for Thursday the 29th= 9 days away and I am rusty, lol! It’s been a while since I’ve done a shoot and PREPARATION is needed.  It’s a lot like getting ready for a figure contest, one should practice posing and give a bit of extra attention to the details.  My main objective during the shoot is to get some updated photos for my portfolio and to knock the rust off so that I can be ready when duty calls

That said my POA for the remainder of the week is as follows:

T- bike 20 mins fasted; lift lower body +abs/booty focus

W- run hills; back, shoulders, biceps + abs

Th- bike 20 mins fasted; lift chest/triceps/abs and boxing intervals

F- run road intervals + sprints

Sa- LEGS

Sun- fasted treadmill run; back/shoulders/biceps

Monday- chest/triceps/abs; Happy Memorial Day!!

Christmas is ON!

Can you believe Christmas is only a week away~ WOWSERS!! I am so fired up for the Holiday.

First off I’d like to ask for your continued prayers for my sister’s baby Eliana, She is in surgery now getting a shunt placed in her head.  The poor little thing is not even 2 weeks old and is having the 2nd major surgery of her life

 

I’ve been enjoying my kids big time this year during the festivities.  Last night my daughter Gracie had a choir concert last night~ it was fun to see her class sing!

Pretty much EVERY night until Christmas Eve is full with activities– Go, Go, Go!!

 

Yesterday, I took the day off of workouts– it was a total Boosting day! Today is Cycle day 24 and my plan is to workout for sure! Not sure doing what exactly?? I should do legs, but I also want to run or maybe do stair intervals??   I’ll figure it out.

 

I got a new pair of boots and a Christmas shirt that I wore yesterday:

 

I have a busy day of errands and such, but I’ll be back to report my workout and catch up with ya’ll!!

This week has not exactly gone to plan– the time prior to a trip never does, right?

So yesterday I got my nails, hair and teeth whitening done…I wore this dress- it’s 20 years old– back in style and fits me better now than ever!

BUT, I didn’t get in my workout So today I’ll double up- by getting in a run and my lifting both along with all my packing etc…

I am so ready to roll on out of here to VEGAS!! It’s fun to have another one of my “GOALS” finally be here!!

 

I have a bunch of goals and reasons lined up through AUGUST to stay sexy!:

  1. April -Vegas
  2. May – Last day of school for kids~ lots of reasons to look good!
  3. June – birthday and Track meet
  4. July – my 20th reunion
  5. August – my 20th anniversary!!

Having goals works~ figure out some reasons for you to STAY SEXY my Friends!!

RESET!

HI! So…I’ve missed you! BUT, I needed to reset my addiciton to the computer. I have this thing where I get “sucked in” and end up spending countless unproductive hours on the computer. From time to time a taking a BREAK from it entirely really helps get me back to being in BALANCE with it all.

I’m still trying to formulate my plan of attack for the year and my RESOLUTIONS. I’m feeling a bit of “growing pains” in my life right now– having to let go of some fun goals and replacing them with other more challenging ones. I’m trying to figure it out….

Workouts have been good since I got back from Tampa. Saturday I did Leg, Sunday I did Chest and Yesterday I was too sore to hardly move! I took the day off, but did manage to set up a shooting range and shoot a couple rounds of my hand gun 🙂

Then today I felt the urge to workout early- I was in my gym at 8:40 am! That’s REALLY EARLY for me to workout. I did a Back workout and 20 mins on bike.

Anyhow, Travis took a vacation day today…so I’ve gotta go for now. We may head to the LIVESTOCK AUCTIONS…never been there before– should be interesting!

Catch up~ Shine in 49: Day 28

Hi Ya!! So…I just wanted to catch you up a bit on some to the fun I’ve been having.

On Friday I got a facial, FINALLY!  Thank you miss Jennifer Yount 🙂 …. I am so MEAN to my skin it’s insane– so I needed to give it some LOVE! Here’s a pic I took afterward 🙂

 

Then, that night I got all dolled up with “Ferrah” hair to pick up my man from the airport. He’d been working hard all week in Florida– Here’s a pic I took then:

 

Then yesterday I was super stoked to brush hog– Yep I am a farmer at heart!!

Some of the other stuff I’ve been doing is messing around with my videos on you tube- I am still trying to figure out how my mac works.  I did manage to upload a few new videos here’s a couple for you that you may find helpful when it comes to SQUATTING form.

W- Tennis with Gunner; 20 mins upright bike intervals
Th- Run hills with Layla 5 plus pulled cart up hill at end
F- full body lifting with extra squats and an upright bike interval workout for 20 mins
Sa- Short ab wheel+shoulder circuit
Su- PLAN: run 3 miles

Day 8- Mon-Repeat Day 1= Upper body, Intervals and ABS

Overdrive!

This week my brain has been overdrive.  I’m trying to figure out the direction I want to take in my business.  What amazes me about where I’m at is that I have TOO many options.  I don’t think most people can say that!  I’ve gone back and forth- should I dive in- hire help, attack all angles? OR should I scale back and focus my effort towards one specific goal?  I’m at a crossroads I can’t continue on down the same path….Change must happen.

Today was all about business branding and tough questions, like: “What photos are too sexy? What is the message I’m selling?  What is the true mission?  How do I stay true to myself while conforming to a markeing model?”…Guidance from ABOVE is where I need to go with those issues.

Despite my brain being on overdrive, I had a good day.  I got GRAZED by a head cold, so I slept in…I feel good and know I’ll be feeling 100% by tomorrow.

Today’s workout was Chest/Tri’s and intervals with my son Gunner.  We were both texting while trying to workout– that doesn’t work the greatest.  In the end it was the perfect workout for today.

It’s time to get the kids to bed, I’ll see you in the morning!

Carrie Peck rocks!!

One of my contest team training clients from www.buffmother.com is competing in her first NPC figure contest this weekend in Atlanta, Georgia!! AND she rocks!!

I’ve found that one of the most joyful things for me is helping others SUCCEED!  Success stories like Carrie’s fuel me to keep pushing hard through all the stress and maintain my passion to HELP women succeed!! Joy is truly in found in Helping other Succeed!!

Carrie is an amazing lady who has successfully overcome a severe eating disorder and being in menopause (due to a hysterectomy) to become a FIGURE COMPETIOR and a true BuffMother!  At her lowest point she weighed only 86 pounds.  Since joining Team BuffMother and our support group www.therallyroom.com Carrie has physically and mentally transformed!  The biggest changes I see in  her are on the inside. Carrie has become a proud, confident, content and truly JOYFUL woman!!

Carrie wrote this 2 years+ ago when she first started her journey towards competition:

Hello to you all…My name is Carrie Peck..I am 30, almost 31, on March 10..So not that far away.  I am competing in my first competition in May..I am very excited..I am also very nervous at the same time.  I know I will do awesome with you all on my side..I have 2 boys, Gavinn Apen, whom is 3 and Tanyon Skyler, whom is 10..I have been with my husband, Michael, for 9 years..We have been married for 6..He is my soulmate and I am very lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life..I am a stay at home mom for now..I am going back to work in August due to my baby will be in preschool..Sad but true..I look forward to working with you all..I will give my word that I will give you all 200% and make all of you Buffmothers so proud on that stage..I am so glad and thankful to be here..

Unfortunately Carrie was unable to compete then due to health issues and found out later that she was in full MENOPAUSE at the young age of 31.

But you can’t keep a good woman down….Carrie will be fulfilling her dream by competing in her first figure contest on SATURDAY!!’

GO CARRIE!! you are a sweet angel of a woman and you deserve to see your Dreams COME TRUE! Thanks for not giving up!! You are an inspiration to us all!!!

Hormones ~ Start Tracking Today!
