HI my LOVES!!

Happy Valentine’s Day!!

 

I have some free time this morning to get a few things done prior to heading to my next Movie SHOOT.  Tonight I get to kill someone and get shot! Fun stuff!!

 

Yesterday, I completed a recent “early morning” workout record for myself– started running at 7:15 am!! that’s very EARLY for me!!!!

Got my run done EARLY today- finished at 7:40am… After a 10min warm up ran 1 mile at 8mph with 3%grade– pushed into pain! #nopainnogain#workoutproof

 

 

Then after my run I had a weird thing happen.  I was getting my eggs cooked and rinsing off something in the sink and these words came to me: “And I will give you the Desires of your heart!”  It instantly made me cry with thankfulness~ God has GIVEN me the desires of my heart! He is amazing!!

I am so blessed!!

 

Here’s a pic I sent prior to heading out for the day– I knew we were shooting a Sleepy Middle of the night scene, so…limited my make up as not too look too made up…

Here’s a pic after we shot my first ever movie scene!! I will never forget it– thanks to everyone who made it happen! Dreams do come true — with Victoria Fox, Kim Pease and Jim Long.

 

Here’s a shot with one of the other Actors, Carl TheCoach Bailey— He plays Travis Tabor, the former Sheriff turned politician.

 

please keep me in your prayers as the shooting continues over the next couple weeks.  LOTS of Brains cells will be required for me to remember all my lines and stay sharp!

p.s. my weight finally dropped back into the 120’s today for the first time in a several weeks! 127.8 on cycle day 5!! Yay for buffing!!

I have been thinking about this all day…things keep on popping up that make me come back to CHALLENGE=CHANGE

In every thing in life if you want to change you must face the challenge.

NO matter what EASY is not the road to success. If you want your body to change you must Challenge it! My body goes backwards instantly if I don’t constantly challenge it.

IT is not easy to be BUFF but it is SO worth it!!

I love Angela’s quote “pain is fat leaving my body!” So true, you must be willing to go through the pain to get to where you want to be.

Challenge yourself in every aspect of life and you will accomplish your dreams!!

I know there was a time when we all need to step back and think about our LIKES and DISLIKES.  I embraced this idea when posting my facebook profile…I actually found it easier to describe myself by listing my dislikes vs. my likes.  Life is too short to spend our time on doing things we really don’t like. Now, I must clarify this a bit…you will still have to do things you DISLIKE in life– but if you can limit those items, life will be so much better!!  Also, some things I dislike I must do in order to have items I LIKE come to fruition.  With that said…

Your task for today is to write 2 lists, what you like and dislike.

Then, simply STOP doing what you truly DISLIKE, even if it’s something as big as a career!  Take action now towards being able to STOP doing what you dislike and find a way to replace it with what you LIKE!

ENJOY!~ Shine in 49: Day 14

Now is the time to ENJOY…

Your LIFE,
Your Friends,
Your Family,
Your Passions, etc…

Now is the time to ENJOY!
But how?  That was my question to myself today.  Somehow my life has turned into a big list of “responsibilities” and “to do lists” that are too often empty and not enjoyable.  THAT’s not good!
I want to enjoy life; I want to even be able to enjoy doing chores….I definitely want to enjoy spending time with my loved ones!  What steps do I need to take to re-ignite my JOY in life?  Well…the first step I took was to “google it”!

Here are some of the top tips I found on “how to enjoy life” that struck a chord with me:

  1. Focus on your “why”- my why is to know and serve God;  and to help give women HOPE.
  2. Connect with loved ones- family and friends
  3. go outside- for a hike, to read, to write, to run, to play
  4. NEW- learn something new, eat something new, go someplace new, meet a new friend
  5. create a DREAM list- what have you always DREAMED of doing…take actions towards those dreams
  6. Music- listen to it, hum it, sing it, play it, etc..
  7. Slow Down!  Breathe!
  8. QUIT…quit doing things you really detest doing
  9. LAUGH!!!  watch AFV~!

I am off to implement these…hope you ENJOY the rest of your Day!!

DREAM again!!

it’s time to DREAM again!!  DREAMING is a source of JOY!  It’s fun to think about the things we’d love to do and see in life.  It’s also fun to FEEL a sense of purpose in our dreams.  God has destined us all to fulfill specific things in life.  Often those items come to us initially as a “dream” .  Many times the dream can be so BIG we can’t fathom it actually becoming reality.  

I challenge you to DREAM big dreams and Take ACTION toward making that dream a reality.  You may be amazed at how it may just come true!  I know in my life I’ve seen many DREAMS come true and I EXPECT many more of my dreams to be fulfilled in the days, months and years to come!!

Yesterday, I was BEAT- very tired…I think the tennis and heat wor me out!  I felt better in the afternoon so we ended up going bowling as a family~ it’s so fun to see my kids getting better and better at bowling.

Then last evening,  I had a good run~

I ran 2 times around my block- about a 10 min run (.7mi each block)
rested (walked) for 1.5 mins
Sprinted 100m
rested (walked) for 2 mins
Sprinted 100m
rested (walked) for 2 mins
Sprinted 100m
rested (walked) for 1min
ran 1 more time around the block

It felt good to sprint again!!  I ran 2 sprints on Saturday.

Here in just a bit we are going to go workout- Chest/tris and let the kids swim while we are lifting.

Carrie Peck rocks!!

One of my contest team training clients from www.buffmother.com is competing in her first NPC figure contest this weekend in Atlanta, Georgia!! AND she rocks!!

I’ve found that one of the most joyful things for me is helping others SUCCEED!  Success stories like Carrie’s fuel me to keep pushing hard through all the stress and maintain my passion to HELP women succeed!! Joy is truly in found in Helping other Succeed!!

Carrie is an amazing lady who has successfully overcome a severe eating disorder and being in menopause (due to a hysterectomy) to become a FIGURE COMPETIOR and a true BuffMother!  At her lowest point she weighed only 86 pounds.  Since joining Team BuffMother and our support group www.therallyroom.com Carrie has physically and mentally transformed!  The biggest changes I see in  her are on the inside. Carrie has become a proud, confident, content and truly JOYFUL woman!!

Carrie wrote this 2 years+ ago when she first started her journey towards competition:

Hello to you all…My name is Carrie Peck..I am 30, almost 31, on March 10..So not that far away.  I am competing in my first competition in May..I am very excited..I am also very nervous at the same time.  I know I will do awesome with you all on my side..I have 2 boys, Gavinn Apen, whom is 3 and Tanyon Skyler, whom is 10..I have been with my husband, Michael, for 9 years..We have been married for 6..He is my soulmate and I am very lucky to have such a wonderful man in my life..I am a stay at home mom for now..I am going back to work in August due to my baby will be in preschool..Sad but true..I look forward to working with you all..I will give my word that I will give you all 200% and make all of you Buffmothers so proud on that stage..I am so glad and thankful to be here..

Unfortunately Carrie was unable to compete then due to health issues and found out later that she was in full MENOPAUSE at the young age of 31.

But you can’t keep a good woman down….Carrie will be fulfilling her dream by competing in her first figure contest on SATURDAY!!’

GO CARRIE!! you are a sweet angel of a woman and you deserve to see your Dreams COME TRUE! Thanks for not giving up!! You are an inspiration to us all!!!

My new beginning!

I know God has big things in store for us every day and he wants our dreams to come true; the past is past – it must be forgiven and forgotten~ TODAY is where to begin and I plan to begin again.  I am declaring that “Today is my new Beginning”…

I know I am sounding kinda “philosophical” and vague, but believe it or not…I don’t share my entire life with the world via the web

Today I feel free to truly be excited for what is to come!
Today I feel the power and passion needed within my soul for what is to come!
Today I feel the Holy Spirit’s hand guiding me towards what is to come!
Today I feel loved and have love to give  towards what is to come!
Today I feel it is my NEW Beginning!

Thank You all for the constant appreciation, love, excitement, passion and love you give me!  I am truly and utterly blessed~ God IS a good Father!  He has given me so much~ He has given me you- my BuffMother Sisters!  And I am so thankful for YOU!!

I’ve spent the week drawing closer to God; I’ve been pouring into my spirit life and I’ve been rewarded with more clarity that I’ve had in a long time!  Pressing into our spirits is very worth the sacrifice much like pressing into our fitness goals. It’s so WORTH IT!  Sacrifice always brings reward! 

A couple weeks ago was telling my MIL how I truly believed that my “fitness life” was VERY MUCH Spiritual to me!  I feel connected to God through my fitness…my workouts are my “sanctuary” time.  My time to connect to my spirit.  Chaos engulfs almost the majority of my day but NOT my workout time.  That’s that time I can pour into not only my body, but into my spirit!  I’ve spent countless hours working out in my life and my workouts do affect my sprit life. And my MIND  also…We cannot separate part of ourselves from the other. We have a body, a spirit and a mind~ all 3 of which are affected by the other!  

For those of you who have my book you understand that I deeply believe and TEACH that we must consider EVERY Aspect of ourselves into our quest to attain a glorious body. It must be integrated into our LIFESTYLE and encompass our entire being!  Please don’t forget the BIG PICTURE!  The True WHY behind why you do what you do for your fitness and diet.  The TRUE meaning for me is to touch lives!  I sacrifice much so that I can stand up with confidence and REACH out to those who are looking for help and HOPE!  I want you to realize~ yes I may seem vain or a bit edgy to promote so many bikini photos but this is my calling from GOD!  I have a mission to help women and to be a light in the darkness.  I have peace about God’s mission for my life…I know God will say to me “Well done my good an Faithful servant” when I arrive in heaven 🙂

I have been called to be a LIGHT in the darkness and reach those who would not otherwise be interested~ I have a mission and I will complete that MISSION!

40 days to FIT~ Day 40!! Congrats!!

Congrats!! We made it through the 40 days to FIT challenge!!!
..I honestly BELIEVE you can reach your goals and you need to BELIEVE it too!! Believing in your dreams is the very first step towards attaining them! Know you can LIVE your DREAM life, Have your DREAM Body and CREATE a DREAM legacy for yourself. God wants you to be HAPPY!! Believe it!! The choice is yours; It’s up to you!! JUST BELIEVE!!!

Today is my 16th anniversary; thank you for all the sweets congrats!! I am very proud and thankful that I’ve been able to stay married to my sexy man for 16 years! WOW! We are continuing yesterday’s celebration by spending the day together. But prior to more “FUN”…I got in a good workout:

Back to Business!

Hey Ya’ll…
Just thought I’d report in really quick. Life is so GREAT!! God is so good~ I just wanted to share with all of you that DREAMS do come true and Miracles do happen! Keep shooting for your dreams and go after your passions; it’s fun and exciting to see DREAMS become a reality. EVERY day in my life I get the goosebumps when I stop and reflect on how I am living a DREAM and on how many wonderful friends I’ve made along the way– God has blessed me so much. Even though it takes hard work and sacrifice to reach your goals, it is 150% worth it! TRUST me! IT is SOOOO worth it!

I am feeling GREAT! c-4 here and my fog is gone, my focus, energy, confidence and motivation are HIGH! Yesterday, I had a good workout…AND I RAN!!! went running I probably ran for a total of 7 mins (2 mins at a time) and my knee felt good and was just a bit sore last night. SO…I’ll do it again tomorrow.
In total yesterday I did 45mins of cardio….and some odd and ends of lifting:
lat pulls
Bulgarians
push ups
standing calf raises
abs on ball

Today, I am heading to the gym to do legs and then get a massage. smile

FUN stuff!!!
