Whacky Wednesday

Time to get a bit Whacky! I’m so sick of dealing with the UBER SERIOUS side of people. My solution is to get even more WHACKY than ever!!

Did ya’ll know that I’m kinda crazy?  I am a bit of a goofball and I love making fun of myself.  I just spent some time watching the “Swedish Chef” on YouTUBE! Love him!!

This video I just a quick little blog I did over the weekend…

Okay, so last night turned out quite exciting here. I was in the middle of my workout when I heard a gun shot! Travis shot a BIG BOBCAT about 50 feet from our chicken coop! I think the cat was HUNGRY for a Chicken Dinner!

DH was so excited, it’s his first bobcat ever and it was very big and beautiful. Needless to say, my workout was over.

Anyhow, may have been for the best, I was very sore and tired from the past 3 days of workouts. I did manage to do some bench, some abs, and a few tricep dips.  I also did get in my 20 mins of biking in the morning.

Today, I’ll do a bit more upper body lifting with some boxing and I’ll get in a good solid run too.

Tia is home sick today with a very sore throat…so I’ll be making her some soup and praying she’ll recover quickly.

 

let’s remember to have some fun today, Joy, Laughter and HUMOR are supposed to be a part of life. Just take some time to get a little WHACKY!! it’s fun!!

My Nostalgic post for today is about being “Miss Hawaiian Tropic FARGO, ND” twice… A free trip to Hawaii for DH and I in 1995 and again in 1997!! Both trips were a blast and laid the foundation for my current profession. 
I didn’t end up doing my leg workout last night, too tired and lazy. Hormones are starting to ramp up! Boosting is ON!
Instead of a POA, I’m going to post my workout goals for the week:
5 lifting workouts (at least 2 leg days); 4 fasted biking days (at least 20mins each); 3 runs (a long, a treadmill intervals and a hills run)

So the “Date” with my son was a success! We went shopping and he got several shirts and 3 pairs of pants– unreal that he’s a size 32×34! Big little man!

We also went out to eat at TLC for our favorites Spicy Cesar salad and MR Smoked Sirloin- YUMMY! And his hair cut turned out really nice too!

AND I even got in a stellar workout after it. Ran hills, my best run of the month for sure and then lifted chest.

  1. Cycle day- 3 feeling much better today!
  2. Weight- 132.0 today.  Nice to see it going back down…expecting an under 130 weigh in any day now!  I feel so much leaner, I’m getting excited to take measurements and my AFTER pics for the contest. 2 more weeks!!
  3. Sexy To do’s-  SEXY Saturday, so spending some extra time with DH is a must.  Also, I will get some more time OUTSIDE in today. That always makes me feel more sexy.
  4. Workout- bike and legs
  5. Meal POA- Salad for lunch; Chicken with sweet tater salad for Lupper; Pot roast for Supper
  6. Sexy Actions- I think I’ll paint my nails today! plus adding in make up will be a must. Extra HUGS and Kisses and kind words to HUBBY!

Lost a day?

Hey ya, feels like I lost a day somewhere this week??

Not sure how it’s already Friday, but I’ll take it…Friday’s Rock!

This one is extra nice because it’s sunny and warm and I get to have a special Date with my son. He’s got a hair appt at 4:30 and we are going to shop a bit too. He’s grown so big that he’s got hardly any of his own clothes to wear….been sharing with his Dad.

 

Okay, so on Thursday night I did a good leg workout with some SEXY dancing!

I was on the “road” yesterday. I had a business meeting, my HAIR APPT!! (yay) and then finished up the day doing some errands for “work”.  I say “work” because as you know I have a DREAM JOB!! I love being BUFFMOTHER, my work is very enjoyable, but it’s still work, lol!

 

Okay, here’s a pic of my hair. It’s quite a bit darker, but it will lighten up some as I wash it over the next few days.  I think I like the change– It’s what I wanted, more NATURAL!

  4. Workout: Chest/Tri’s and run– can’t wait to do this outside today!
  5. Meal POA : Not a full plan yet…Protein shake with a banana in it after run … then go out to eat with Gunner later. Put the pot roast in the crock pot for dinner!!
  6. Sexy Actions- I will spend some extra time with DH tonight.  Maybe give him a back rub

I love weights!

Today was a TIME WARP day, lol! I slept in this morning and ever since have been on the GO! GO! GO!! Still feeling pretty good for cycle day 23…still holding steady during my boosting at 132.2 even after a “FAILED” day of eating yesterday. Went out for lunch with hubby, had nachos at the game and then an ice cream cone afterwards?? WHAT was that about?? Anyhow today was a new day and I’ve done better!

 

Today’s SEXY POST….

I’m going to push into some ENERGIZERS this weekend. Maybe even get DH to go on a DATE with me?  He’s all about being on the farm now that hunting season is on so that may be harder than you’d think, lol!
I just completed my run of intervals that I did AFTER my chest/tricep lifting workout.  I didn’t get in my fasted bike this am, due to sleeping in, but I will tomorrow. Every day I don’t do it, I now regret it.  Maybe it’s becoming a habit?
Have I ever told you that I love weights? LOL!

Filthy Friday

My house was/is filthy…so I’ve been cleaning all day.  Got more to do before I have to go pick up my DD and her friend for a sleep over.  But I will get in my workout after I get them.
Been hanging out with the DH a lot this week…he’s just put up my new workstation. It’s so beautiful. I’ll upload a pic.

Miss You!

Holy Cow, I miss you all sooooo much!! I have been the busiest that I can remember this week! I have a million and 1 things going on, it’s been fun and great, but has left me with NO time or energy to be able to spend on the computer with you!

Just to update ya, I’ve been filming my movie “phone in the attic”…the past 3 days I was STRIPPER DIEDRA– which means a ton of dance practice, wearing hells, awkward moments and limited clothing.

The 2 days prior to day that I was LOVER DIEDRA, filming a very flirty scene and a bedroom scene— HOTTTT!!!

Previous to that I was BAD DIEDRA who loves to do evil! I can’t reveal the secrets  of that portion of the movie, But let’s just say it includes Blood, suspense and FIGHTS!!

 

It’s been a TON OF WORK!!

In addition to that I’ve become a GREAT Aunt for the fist time, I’ve helped celebrate my MIL’s 70th birthday, I’ve had a bunch of remodeling work done on my house, worked on my taxes and also today I’m helping my soon to be SIL shop for a wedding dress while her an my BIL are in town from MN for the weekend~ Add to the mix 4 kids, a DH and a Puppy all wanting my attention too!

I have missed a few workouts, but am keeping up some running, and I consider much of my “activities” as workouts!

Gotta go get caught up a bit on my emails!

Hey Ya! Hope ya’ll are having a great week like I’m having!! Seriously GOD is good!! He’s been opening BIG doors for me like crazy recently.  I’m so very blessed!!

Wednesday was full of excitement and fun!!  My tummy was finally feeling more normal, thanks for your prayers!!

 

I met up with  Lylna Thao for the AWESOME an jujitsu lesson yesterday~ I had so much fun learning some new sweeps, escapes and mounts with my partner in crime Emily McArthur!! LOVE these Ladies!! I do plan on taking more lessons as it fits into my life, plus attending your women’s boxing at 6:30pm class in Rogers on Tues and Thurs very soon!! — with Lylna Thao and Emily McArthur.

Went shopping for food after wards and then came home to workout and take my Bikni day 3 pics:

Today, I weighed 131 but my DH didn’t believe it, HE thinks I look really thin and ripped!!  Nice to know that my composition is changing,  the workouts DO pay off!!

 

I WILL get in my run– maybe outside?? I’ll have to see how warm it feels out there.  Also, chest, triceps and abs are on tap too!!

 

How are you doing?

I am very pleased with my energy levels, drive and focus when it comes to getting in my workouts NOW.  It was tough the first few weeks due to being busy and having the tummy flu…but I feel like it’s really coming together this week!!

 

Do you feel any different?

YES!  I can feel/see progress in both my mojo,  body compostion, strength and fitness levels!! Typically I see this happen almost every FEBRUARY as the days get longer and temps warm up.  I can’t wait to see how much energy I get in MARCH!!

 

 

Are you seeing results?

Yes mainly in more consistent energy levels.  More muscle definition and in my aerobic fitness!  The scale has not been moving down as much as I’d like, but I KNOW that number is relative and would be moving down if I could keep my diet a bit tighter!

 

What obstacles are you facing?

Diet issues!

I’ve been struggling with food choices and frustration over my food sensitivities.  I feel like I have to “pick my battles” in regards to what is worse– eating some items that I’m sensitive to or just not eating at all?

And…Hip/pelvic pain flare up~ not sure what’s going on here? but I think it may have just been some of the flu symptoms?? It’s been better the past couple days

 

Are you still on fire/focused?

Yes, my focus is better now than at the start of the contest!!

 

What does relentless mean to you?

never quitting! I’m in this for the long haul and am not afraid to lead by example in that belief!

Belief in Purpose!

HI Ya!!

Just wanted to check in with ya’ll a bit.  I’ve been MIA and will be MIA for the next week or two due to this movie.

On that note– this is week in #5 in our contest and BELIEF is our theme–

Part of our homework for this week is to blog about our BELIEF~ “I Believe in….”

~I believe… in PURPOSE. WE ALL have a purpose for our lives…do you have a vision of what yours is? I know mine…it is to HELP WOMEN- as simple as that! I’d like to help every woman in the world have HOPE- I want to share the message that YOU have the power to change YOUR body, life and legacy.Does that sound do-able? LOL! I BELIEVE it is!!Now, I have not always had this VISION for my PURPOSE…it has taken time, effort and GOD’s timing to reveal it in my life. I’ve only had a CLEAR VISION for my purpose for the past 5-6 years. Until then I was searching and honestly more than a little frustrated…I had an uneasy feeling, I knew I was supposed to do something, but WHAT??I really believe that God put me through every part of my life for a reason…even the bad parts. I now see how things that seemed bad at the moment, have turned to work for my favor NOW. I’ve also gained a ton of WISDOM through my struggles and my triumphs. Without the past 38 years of my life I wouldn’t be me and I wouldn’t be ready to attack my PURPOSE.A couple books that helped me in finding my purpose are: the BIBLE, “Reduce me to LOVE” by Joyce Meyer and “The Prayer of Jabez” by Bruce Wilkinson Keep on Believing and keep striving towards your PURPOSE…YOU HAVE ONE!!

 

 

As for the movie, so far I’ve shot 2 scenes…it’s slow going in that I have a ton more to shoot.  On Sunday there was a snafu due to the bar we had planned on shooting at being CLOSED and the owner being MIA.  It worked out good though because it was DH’s birthday, and we got to spend the day together!!

 

My workouts have been decent, but could be better– it’s hard to fit them in when you have to be “movie ready” all day long LOL!

I ran on Saturday outside hills for the first time since our last bout with snow– so it was about 3 weeks.  It’s much harder on my feet, to run on the tail than on the treadmill….

I got in a very solid leg workout on Sunday:

One treadmill and dancing deadlifts. Knee ups leg curls lunges more dancing for abs  leg ups leg extensions pump ups More standing abs One set single leg deadlifts Squats

Doing squats last was tough!!

 

and in about 15 mins I’m going to get on the treadmill for a run.

Then shower, fill my orders and head off to the movie set once again.

I was there 12 hours yesterday.  During some of my waiting time I was able to enjoy the sun on the patio at Bear’s Place in Fayetteville:

As for the diary challenge– I think I need to lay off the diary for sure! I’m determined to keep cheese out of my eats and figure out a different creamer for my coffee!

 

Okay, gotta roll so I can get to the set at a decent time. My call time is 10 am– but truthfully, I’m planning to roll in at noon today instead.  I’ve got stuff to do this morning!

 

I’m bringing my computer to the set today– so if I can get on wi-fi I’ll log in and catch up with Ya’ll when I have some free time

  1. How do I feel the 28 days of Christmas Challenge helped me during the crazy holiday season?
    The contest helped through a lot of stress this time of year. Gave me something to focus on instead of worrying about things I wasn’t in control of right now. I am someone who loves     to give gifts. Deciding, finding, and giving a gift is one of my favorite things to do. We had to cut back a lot this year, so I was unable to ‘give’ as much as I would have liked. The     contest helped me deal with the situation and focus on things that matter more than monetary things. The kids stepped up and helped as well. A great holiday!
  1. Summarize my performance in this contest…
    I realized early on during this contest that even though I was working out most days I wasn’t pushing myself as hard as I could. Reading other Buffmother posts helped me see that.     So I began looking for and planning tougher workouts. Now I am trying new gadgets and heavier weights. Trying hard to think outside the box and give it all I got. Thanks,     Buffmothers!
  1. Are you happy with your results?
     I was very consistent and on track with my workouts throughout the challenge. Had a strong start with my eats, but had trouble Christmas week. Getting back on     track as type this. This is my 2nd contest and I always feel that my results could have been better. I put a ton of effort into the contest, but there is always something I could have     done differently or better. Always a work in progress. So overall I am happy with the things I have learned along the way, but I can do better each day.
  1. Encouraged by? Denyse W. and Suzi V.. I love our dynamics as a group. We work well together for accountability and encouragement. Inspired by? Robin W.. I love her enthusiasm, dedication and sense of humor. She has been a great addition to the group. I look forward to seeing how far she can go.

  1. In closing: As usual, I thoroughly enjoyed the contest. A great add on to this contest. Gave us a chance to show a different side to ourselves, open up and be creative. The occasional questions you passed along to us was helpful to me as well. They made me pause and think. I started a separate journal to keep those answers to look over when I need to regroup or refocus. I’ve made so many great friends these past 6 months.
