I broke into the 120’s!

HOLY COW, I finally, finally saw 129.8 on the scale today!! It’s been since August that I’ve been trying to get a reading in the 120’s!!  YAY!!

I’ve got 2 things new that I’m doing to THANK for the weight drop:
1- Thyrocare supplement– started taking this again this week

2- PH9 Generator water- it’s a cool invention check out the info http://www.rezpons.com/ph9-generator

Fun to see some FLUFF coming off!!

I ran last night, harder than a couple days ago– went up to 9mph for my intervals and decided to be done after I hit the 2 mile mark at 15:40 due to some DIZZINESS– must not be getting enough OXYGEN just yet

 

Today, I’m not sure how I’ll get a workout done. I’ve got a meeting at 2 for my Diabetes charity event www.BuffMother.com/kissapig

Then we have dinner at my SIL’s at 6…hmmmmm….. May have to get creative.

My 6 for Wednesday!

6 Daily Goals– that will be topics in my daily journal

  1. cycle day- today is day 28…I don’t feel sexy, but I am feeling a bit more mojo than the past couple days.  Happy my cycle is being at least normal length again.
  2. weight- I weighed in at 132.4 today…not bad but could be better. Excited to see the scale start moving down again next week!
  3. Sexy To do’s- This was yesterday’s topic:

     

  4. Workout- Plan is to Ride bike and this afternoon Lift Legs. Today’s Sexy Topic
  5. Meal POA- be strict, but smart.  I need to remember to eat a good pre-workout meal so I can have a killer leg workout! Speaking of MEALs I have a super fun announcement about the *coming soon* www.BuffMotherMeals.com!
  6. Sexy Actions- I will get dolled up for bringing my son to the Dr. and I will help him get his confidence on by giving him a hair cut, lol!  I will also try to do my SEXY WORKOUT today. The goal is to lift legs + do a butt sandwich

Pushing Through

I feel as though the past few days has been me having to PUSH through.  I blame it on a bit of a flu/tummy bug…Hoping tomorrow things will be more “NORMAL” lol!

Friday, just got in a 15min bike ride.

Thursday was a short workout too.  Just 25 mins on the bike and some abs.

I’m going to get on my workout duds now and hit the workout room.

My plan is to try to do legs and adding in the “MAC” moves between sets.

No Driving Day?

Today is a much needed NO DRIVING day, sorta…

  1. I may drive to the gym as I’ve realized 3 weeks into it that working out at home isn’t going well with the kids are home for the summer! Too many distractions= no so much the kids themselves as the MESS the kids leave behind!
  2. We may also drive to go pick up my CHICKEN COOP!! I had a friend of mine score me one for FREE!! It’ll hold 8 chickens~ I can’t wait to eat my own eggs!!
  3. AND I may drive my tractor– that though is FUN, It’s like therapy!

 

Yesterday was a nice day– I took the day off and drove to town for lunch with my SIL. She treated me to a late BIRTHDAY meal and My son came with to hang with his cousins at the pool

 

I did manage to get in a short leg workout– my sciatic has been flaring up a bit the past couple days (too much sitting/driving, ovulation and inconsistent workouts).  SQUATS seem to really help it, but yesterday it got irritated a bit from them– so I tried to be nice to it.

Warmed up on bike for 10 mins, squatted: 45×20, 95×10, 135x10x3 deadlifts: 135x10x3 plus some abs and booty stuff between sets. It was a shorter workout than I wanted but it was also close to 7pm when I was done.  TOO LATE in the day for this CHEF…I had a 5 hungry mouths to feed.

Loss of a Goal

Well…this past Sunday I decided to “QUIT” working towards my 800m Masters track race goal for this year. The timing just didn’t work out for me to be able to complete it this year…I was sad about the LOSS OF MY GOAL.  I felt lost and confused for a couple days.  It’s Wednesday and I’m over it now!

I have other goals and dreams to pursue that have taken it’s place and I feel better off as a person for attempting to do the race.  I truly learned a ton over the past 2 months of training:

  • Ketogenic diets are applicable to athletes; more and more endurance athletes don’t fuel with “carbs”
  • I am old, but doesn’t mean I can’t regain my speed or endurance with effort
  • I like to challenge myself yet, I also like workout that aren’t always filled with “performance” pressure
  • I learned that track for kids HAS TO BE a fun group activity, not a pressure cooker with a drill sergeant mom
  • I learned about the USTAF programs and how I can become a certified track coach/club
  • I reaffirmed that GOD comes first in my life, family second and “work” a distant 3rd or even 4th
  • Lactic Acid Threshold and VO2 max testing is really underutilized in athlete training in my area
  • Track clubs are NON-EXISTENT in my area…everyone seems to be running LONG races.  My question is “why so far???”

The past couple days have been busy with kids and my MUFFLER falling off my van!  CRAZY TIMES!

I did manage to get a couple workouts done, my hair and nails done and some work completed.  All in all it’s been a good week!!

 

I’ll be checking in on your blogs in a bit…but first I have to bring my DD to guitar!

Time for some NEW

Hey Ladies!! hope you had a relaxing, rejuvenating weekend!!

It’s time for some new focus and new goals in my life…I’m not “quitting” on my goal to have a smokin’ body for my 38th birthday in a couple weeks, nor am I quitting on my goal to run an 800m race. BUT I am eliminating some “work” and “life” habits while asserting actions towards new goals in my work and family life! I’m excited for the NEW approaches I’ll be taking in both areas~ It’ll be a good break from the “same”.  I’ll share more about the “NEW” stuff soon!!

My weekend wrapped up with lots of work accomplished outside and family adventures.  I love where I live and my family~ God has surly blessed us!

During my “adventure” yesterday I tried to JUMP across the river but missed my mark and smashed the side of my foot in to a rock– it’s bruised badly.  I’ll have to be nice to it for a couple days at least   The good news is that it’s much better today than last night so I highly doubt it’s anything more than a bruise!

My week is a crazy one- I have 2days of a peaceful house until the kids get out of school.  Then it’s going to be a week or so of “adjustment” on everyone’s part. I do have a good “plan” in place for daily chores– hopefully it’ll work like a charm!

 

Today’s to do’s:

  • video my 3 remaining butt sandwich videos prep shipments and go to Post office
  • Bills and paperwork
  • LEG workout
  • Get hubby to take my “ending” HH pics

 

Off to tape my booty!

Here are mine again:

My butt habit to incorporate~ Lift heavier! I’ve been in “recovery mode” from a neck injury for the past couple months…now that I am healthy again it’s time to challenge myself on the weights.  Lower reps and higher weights~ Heavy lifting provides amazing muscle growth!

My butt habit to eliminate~ Sitting! get off my HINEY! I’ll be using my standing work station

Yesterday was a good day outside.

I got in a Track workout:

Run 2 laps for warm up Run 200m x2 (time: ?, 31) Run 50 acceleration- had Tia video this…looked slow and need to get on my toes! Run 300m- 46sec…during this one my left hip flexor was bothering me

Run 300m- 49sec- ran slower on purpose due to hip

Cut workout short, hip flexor was too bothersome. I’m wondering if it was a cramp?  I’ll be nice to it for a couple days and see.

 

Then I mowed, brush hogged and weed whipped for several hours.

I also ACCIDENTALLY took some advil I had in my hand to give DH. I went into autopilot mode and swallowed them down with my water– silly! lol!

 

Anyhow, today I plan to get in a good workout and some sun! Right now I’m watching the UFC event from last night– LOVE MMA!!

Day 1 ~S2S Bikini Week~

Well life around is finally getting back to normal after our spring break 2 weeks ago and Easter last week– at least normal for a couple days, until Friday when for some reason my kids have the day off?? What’s the deal with that?!

 

I am really going to have to figure out some sore of a solution for us during the summer months…bored kids at home= MESSY, stress!
My massage yesterday was really interesting. I went to a massuse who has been working with my SIL for the past several months.  Tandee is her name. She’s got some really exiting, different techniques and has a huge belief that many of our issues stem from our CORE. Specifically our PSOAS muscles which reside in on the sides of our inner tummy They connect the hips and spine and in essence are our body’s “hinge”.  STOMACH massage is her “specialty”.
She also does some active release stretching techniques to assist in releasing the muscle tension.  Very interesting stuff– She also spent time on my neck and shoulder– deep in my armpit.  My tummy was amazingly sore yesterday afternoon do to the massage.  I’m excited to see how visiting her every couple weeks will help my neck and also some of my lingering sciatic issues.
My workout last night was a tiny leg workout– I felt kinda weak and didn’t want to do too much.  Just playing it safe for my neck.  I warmed up on the Upright bike- then lifted- then rode the bike for 20 mins during which I took a break to do sit ups 3x’s~

I have to say– It made me feel sexy to be in a bikini and heels– It WORKS!!

Celery, you are my friend…

Yep, that’s right, CELERY has been my friend the past couple days.  It’s actually VERY GOOD! Why is it so easy to foget how yummy green veggies can be?

Anyhow, my diet is back ON TRACK– had a little bit of a hiccup Friday and Saturday with it…PLUS the ibuprofin I took for my neck caused me to retain some major water– NO FUN!   Most of it is gone now, but I weighed in at 130.8 this morning– almost 6 pounds more that I’d like for my photo-shoot.  I have 18 days days until then, so I’m now in EMERGENCY mode when it comes to diet.  There will be NO BOOSTING for me this month~ I’ll have to gut it out and stay STRONG!!

PROTEINS AND GREENS!! and I’m even cutting down on my fat intake!  THIS GIRL IS DETERMINED, lol!!


I did 60 mins of cardio yesterday~ 20 mins on r-bike; 20 mins of running intervals on treadmill; 20 mins on the elliptical ~ WHEW!!
Now today I have legs on tap–

WARM UP on Upright BIKE

Squats
Dead lifts
Forward Lunges
Leg Extensions
Leg Curls
Walking Lunges
ABS between each set

Should be killer!

I’m off to find some more CELERY!!

5 Days!!!

5 days left until I am in CANCUN!!! I am so excited to get away from it all and just chill!

It’s a busy, busy time for me!! I honestly don’t think it’s possible for me to get any busier.  I have a running to do list that is growing faster than I can whittle it down.  I must remember to BREATHE and drink my water–left typing just now to chug a BIG 32oz. glass–One reason why I am more busy than my usual CHAOTIC state is that I am trying to “PRE-DO” all my work, etc…this week in prep for my vacation next week. Another reason why I feel so swamped is my 3 girls are actually off school today.

Here’s a list of some items I have been able to complete the past couple days:

  • Walmart trip- Major grociereis and school supplies for Gunner
  • Football Practice for Gunner
  • Got a plumber to fix my bathroom part of the way…the remainder needs to be completed AFTER the parts I ordered come in
  • Had a productive business meeting with a rep
  • Had some awesome coaching phone calls with Viki,Sherry and Kathy!!
  • Got in a great back workout with the hubby
     

Today has been a good day and the plan is to hit the gym now for a tan and a killer run!! I can’t believe it’s already day 12 of our “Thin in 30” contest~ It’s gone by SO fast!!! whoohoo!!! cheerleaders
