Workout:

Day #4
Sprints!
Run 10 mins
2x100m sprints
run 4 mins

Time between Sprints= full recovery  2-5 mins

Sprints EXAMPLE-

Then last evening,  I had a good run~

I ran 2 times around my block- about a 10 min run (.7mi each block)
rested (walked) for 1.5 mins
Sprinted 100m- fire hydrant to fire hydrant on the street in front of my house 🙂
rested (walked) for 2 mins- walked back to starting place
Sprinted 100m
rested (walked) for 2 mins

As an extra I ran 1 more time around the block (5mins)

Today’s Diet focus:

No dairy

  1. It is hard when you have bad food around…but it is possible for you to eat healthier. Keep striving every day to do better. And by the way, I have fried foods now and then. Count them towards your tally for the day and move on to making better choices at the next meal. it’s your OVERALL eating that will define how much results you attain. NOT one meal or one “cheat”…everything in moderation!!

  2. Do your best to lead by example…your effort will pay off in helping them be healthier adults.
    Good for you to buy healthier choices for them!! keep at it!!!

  3. I’m not much of a morning eater either…but I manage to eat eggs, a vanilla scoop of protein in OJ, an Atkins PB protein bar or just an apple or even just a green like Brussels sprouts or a yellow/red pepper.

  4. tomorrow is a day off so I’d just shift your workouts to do Yesterday’s today and then today’s tomorrow.
    31st anniversary!! wow!! that rocks- my 18th is on the 28th of this month.
    It’s always fun to have an event to push you harder to your goal

  5. I have been eating out of boredom. I also ate fried food yesterday. I am needing motivatrion on eating. I am living with my husband and his son and they eat junk food, so it makes it really hard when there is junk in the house.

  6. Portia, i can relate since i too live with children( 13 and 15years old) that like to eat junk! I have for the most part, rid our house of junk, they don’t need the xtra calories and neither do I! What I always tell myself is this: focus on what you want most; not what you want at the moment! I buy a lot of fiber plus granola bars and fiber one brownies-they feel like they are eating treats but they are packed with fiber ; )

  7. Hi, I usually have 2egg whites and 1whole egg. I scramble them with a little green pepper and onion or with a bit of salsa. I have no more than a half a slice of whole wheat toast. I keep it pretty light. The proteins help me to feel full. I hope this helps.

  8. Hi there – was too tired yesterday in the evening, so I am going to the gym right now at lunch to do my day 3 workout. Should I do the day 4 cardio workout later today to catch up or should I do it tomorrow and chalk up yesterday as a rest day instead of day 5? Thanks for your advice…

  10. I have a similar question as Judy. I went to Magic Mountain yesterday, so I didn’t do the workout. Should I do both today? I’m not counting yesterday a rest day because I walked all over that place. 🙂 I am still sore from Monday’s workout!!! I also didn’t eat a very healthy lunch or snack, but breakfast and dinner were.
    I can eat healthy even though my 7 yr old and 14 yr old don’t always because I’m committed to the 30 days. The 31st is my anniversary and I’m going to splurge then!! P.S. Don’t count little cheats like a sip of your husband’s soda or one little finger dip in the peanut butter jar (it has protein). I will keep on going and maybe jog a little extra to make up for it.

  12. Don’t like running or sprinting, but I did it!! And made my 15 year old daughter do it with me. WooHoo!

  14. Iv’e been using your workout plan a day behind since Aug 1, but did a 30 min workout dvd today because I have running issues. Then walked 3 miles or so this afternoon.

  15. Day 2…on the pills..and I can I say I have had increase in bowl movements….trying my best to follow the 5+5 nutrients took before pics Tuesday…boo whooo whooo looking forward to see all my hard work paying off….at the end of this month…Staying focus..!!!

  16. For medical reasons I can’t run, so I walked on the treadclimber and walked the stairs at work as many times as I could. For birthday reasons….I ate cake.

  17. Followed the diet plan and completed weights and cardio. My family and I have just returned from a very long vacation and the cardio routine really got
    the blood flowing to my legs again. The running was tough but I really enjoyed it.

  18. Spent the entire afternoon and evening at the county fair with my kids yesterday and managed to control myself from eating my usual unhealthy fair food. Took plenty of water, protein bar, almonds and dried fruit with me so it really helped me to stay focused. Thanks for your daily reminders…very motivating and helps me to stay on track!

  19. I measured out 100 m before work today so I know exactly where to go for sprinting right after work! So pumped! Did the circuit last night and loved it! Definitely feel it in my arms today I also got in an extra 50 mins of cardio last night. Not hard for me to stay away from dairy as i am lactose intolerant however I do love cheese! But i will ensure I stay far away today! Thanks for all the tips!
