Today’s Diet Focus:

Up your veggie intake- especially GREEN VEGGIES

Ideas:

The way I get 3 in a day is to start my day with a GREEN, focus on eating greens for my “snacks” and having greens with dinner.

Greens are so good for your digestion, your body’s acidic balance, for nutrition, for energy, etc….
My favorite Greens lately are:
Cucumbers,
Peppers,
Green Beans,
Radishes,
Asparagus,
Brussels Sprouts

Others I eat quite often include:
Stir fry veggies,
Spinach,
Romaine Lettuce,
Green and Red Cabbage
and Spaghetti Squash

Get after those greens~

They are SO good for you and REALLY help lean you up!!!
YUMMY!!!

  1. Day 1 went well. Day 2 I think will be a real test for me. I have to prevent myself overdoing cardio and stay away from the basmati rice.

    Good luck all!

  2. Sorry to hear it Alli…but it was just one day….Dust yourself off and get rollin’ again ASAP 🙂 You can do it!!

  3. way to go Shelley!! You are on track to have a stellar 30 days…ONE DAY AT A TIME!!

  4. well… day 1 was horrible. I got a stomach bug or something horrific. Missed my morning workout and my boot camp class in the afternoon. I may have only made it through work because of the energy I got from the Mangodrin. Also, If I wasn’t involved in this challange, I’m sure I would have already written this week off and let the diet go and skipped the gym until next Monday. But, time to change bad habits – so happy to be included in this. Thanks Michelle for inviting me to participate and expecting me to be accountable. I needed that.

  5. Day one was great for me as well! Taught a spin class and did plenty of intervals. This morning I’m hitting the weights! Bring it on!

  6. I try to start my day with a green juice or smoothie of some sort…i find it really helps, especially in feeling more hydrated!

  7. Day 1 was fabulous! It was also my first day back in the classroom and back into my routine – so getting back in track in general felt great! The Mangodrin was a real help with energy. I’m glad I skipped my normal morning coffee… I think I need to take the afternoon supplement a little earlier – I had a hard time sleeping last night. Day 2 is well under way… workout done! Bring on the day!!

  8. I’m glad to be back watching what I eat again. However, I wish I could get back into the exercising. I have always been adamant about getting to the gym 3 – 4 days a weeks and running 3 – 4 mornings per week. However on Saturday my back went out and seems to be taking forever to heal. So for now, I’m concentrating on each healthy and hoping to get back into the gym later this week or next week for sure.

  9. hi, had a great day one, am really determined to see this through to the end, am doing my stats, intervals and abs this evening,on track with my food. am excited to end the summer
    strong!

  10. Day one went great, well, besides the cramps and bloating from day one of my cycle! The mangodrin helped me stay positive and in control where I’d otherwise feel sorry for myself and eat!! I ate great and got a little workout in! Not looking forward to measurements!!!

  11. Day one was good! Eating was good too. Very tired at night though…with a headache…but feel good this morning! Bring it DAY 2!

  12. I missed day 1 because I was on a plane ALL DAY, flying from FL to CA, but….it’s day 2 and I’m ready to go.

  13. I’m glad to be in on this challenge. Earlier this year I gave myself an ultimatum to be FIT BY 40 by November 20. I had twin boys 13 years ago and a hysterectomy last year so my core muscles have taken a beating! Any ideas on how to really get that part of me back in shape?

  14. I had an awesome day1 and off to a great start on day 2. I’m really happy with the Mangodrin as I’m finding that I have so much energy. I’m an avid cyclist and this morning I did a 40 mile training ride and felt great. I’m cutting my yard and washing the truck next. After my ride I ate a large salad and a protein shake. Keep it up team

  15. So excited to be part of this contest!!! Have always worked out, but I have been working very long hours – 12 hour days, so my work outs have been very few.. I put a stop to that yesterday, I worked 10 and had a great 1 1/2 work out… I just need some suggestions for breakfest foods, not much of a big eater in the morning. any ideas????

  16. This is the 3rd contest I’ve entered since January and I have not been very successful thus far. I seem to lose momentum by week 2. I’m going to keep trying though that’s for sure cause quitters never win and winners never quit. 😉

  17. I’m a little sore in my butt and quads from yesterday’s workout…. Been three months since I have worked out! 😉 I’m feeling it!

  18. Starting the contest today!! I did my stats yesterday with weightlifting and stair climbing. I have worked out some today, but will do my cardio this evening! I am so happy this is available to keep me motivated!!

  19. I am so excited to be starting another contest. Even though I haven’t received the mangodrin yet, I did start my day one today. Mondays are usually my off days. Today I had a great back, shoulder and biceps workout along with buffing intervals. Will be taking pics tomorrow but already have my measurements done. Can’t wait to see everyone’s results! I know you will all do great!

  20. Day 1 and 2 went well I loved mondays weight training and felt energized on tues sprints. I feel like my eating is back on trace . Feeling more confident that i will be in control of my diet this week with my social events with the 5 on 5.

  21. did you get your mangodrin? Let me know if you don’t by next Monday…
Glad you are back at it and on the attack!!!
Any chance you’d come to Omaha in November for the Bluff’s Classic/buffmother gathering??

  22. I’m training for my second half marathon, and it was fun to interject this workout into my normal training run. I enjoyed the short bursts of speed – neighbors undoubtedly would have thought I was crazy to be smiling and sprinting at the same time – if they had been awake at the hour I was running to beat the Texas heat. 🙂

  23. Awesome to hear it Lisa!! I can’t wait to get your results after the 30 days!! Keep it up!!

  24. I’m not much of a morning eater either…but I manage to eat eggs, a vanilla scoop of protein in OJ, an Atkins PB protein bar or just an apple or even just a green like Brussels sprouts or a yellow/red pepper.

  25. I started a little late as i am still waiting for the mangodrin to arrive but i started, day 1 was great got right into and and the intervals of day 2 got my so pumped. I listened to my boyfriends music today to switch it up and it really motivated me to push through it and i was surprised.
